Great covered patio with awesome views. The platters, mains, and desserts were really good and the service staff were really friendly. Our meal took a while to arrive but that might have been due to our party size. I enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend trying it out.
Must visit!!!! Came here mid week with family visiting from Ontario and it did not disappoint! We were able to do a quick tasting in the winery thanks to Kat and Kiara. As we headed down the stairs, we were in awe of the flowers and the secret view hiding behind the door. We were greeted by Julie and Alexa, both were extremely friendly and inviting. They brought us to our table which had an amazing view overlooking the lake, absolutely spectacular. The patio is covered; after the sunset we watched the distant lightning across the lake. We were also treated to one of the best sunsets I have seen in the Okanagan. Our server Elizabeth was very kind and took such great care of us the entire meal. We had a great time chatting with her and she made great suggestions about food and wine pairings. The menu wasn’t big, but amongst the table we were all able to find something to enjoy. We shared the bison carpaccio, the scallop risotto, and the burrata, all were delicious. For mains all but one had the wagyu steak and the the other has the fish, all the mains were cooked to perfection and flavours were all so fresh and went together perfectly. We chose the Syrah from their sister property, Tinhorn Creek. For dessert the entire table picked “not a coffee” do not overlook this one, omg it was so good! As Elizabeth brought it over to the table, we were all confused. Order it and you will see! We complimented the dessert with a cappuccino, a great way to finish our meal. We were all stuffed at the end, but extremely happy we came here for dinner. The service and food were top notch, I highly recommend coming here!!
Spectacular view with fantastic food. The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. Did not disappoint at all and exceeded my expectations. The wine and food had perfect pairing.
I have been a member for a while and suggested my guests from out of town go there for lunch. We arrived for a 1:15 reservation - did not get any food for an 1 hour plus, had to speak to supervisor it was embarrassing as I recommended we all go there. For the prices they charge you shouldn't have to wait so long. We had two seniors with us who were starving. I was very disappointed it ruined the delicious food which was finally served after complaining of the wait. The whole experience left me very disappointed not sure I'll recommend it to anyone.
Incredible view, lovely staff but even though the photos look great but the food is nothing special. The steak was NOT a Wagyu beef, chewy, had absolutely zero taste & a huge chunk of burned & hard fat made 2 out of 6 slices. The veggies were too hard and the cube fried something was overcooked almost burnt. If I wasn’t super hungry I would’ve finished it. Oh and it was almost $60. Fish dish, sauce and the 3 mini crab ball were yummy but fish was over cooked & nothing special @ $50. On our way out wanted to pickup some wine & their signature Pinot gris they forgot to have in stock & store upstairs was closed. SO overall we spent almost $200 for view. Do not recommend eating here & we will not come back. This was supposed to be my husband’s bday dinner & it was not good.
Gorgeous scenery. You need to book in advance to get a seat with great view. Other than that, the food is nothing special, and over priced for what you get. It's for sure a great place to take a lot of pictures!
The food here is incredible. I had the Bavette and for dessert "The Pour Over" - the steak was cooked exactly to my liking and the dessert's presentation was incredible. For appetizers we had the chips and dip, the dip was so good! We had sat on the patio however due to the heat it was still extremely hot since Gray Monk still hadn't added the sprinklers for cooling. So we then moved indoors. Overall I would for sure return when in Lake Country again. Our waitress as well was lovely.
A cut above the rest. We came here for a celebration meal and were not disappointed. The lobster rolls had plenty of meat inside, bacon on the burger was crispy nd fresh, the thin-sliced house-made potato chips are perfect on the side, and even the kids' grilled cheese sandwich was made with artisan bread and good cheese. All with a beatiful backfrop off a fantastic patio. For a winery restaurant, the wine list had quite a few wines from other cellars. Gray Monk deserves to celebrate its own wines a little more than this.
We went for dinner. Ordered halibut. Still looking for the foam on/with it. Under seasoned no salt at all and dry. Husband ordered wagyu … meat was tough and had sauce over it to hide what?. Vegetables with it was literally 2 small slices of beet and potato something. Dessert it’s not coffee and lemon parfait was good. Won’t be back because of the overpriced, not good food. Server was good
Great service, delicious food! I had the Halibut and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had the Wagyu, also very good!
