Been here many times and will come back. The interior is nice, homey, large bar counter. Fried pickle apps were good. The sandwiches are usually pretty solid as well. Beer selection is good with many local choices. Definitely recommend this place.

Haven't been here in awhile but wanted to check it out again and catch the WC Championship game. Menu is way different than last year. Wasn't thrilled about the appetizer choices so we passed. Got a Burger and my son got Chicken Tenders. Wish there were more normal food choices but they seem to have gone more on the unique / different menu. Miss the Chicken & Waffles , Mozzarella Sticks, and PIZZA. Overall pretty good but fancy for a sports bar. Love to see a Rueben or French Dip. Parking: Plenty of Parking & Great Location
Honestly not terrible, but not great either. Staff seems to be kind of untrained, so I'm guessing there's a high turnover. There's also not many servers, even on busy Friday or Saturday nights. There's take out options, and it's typical bar-faire. Nothing too special. It's a typical sports-bar atmosphere, but they do have outdoor seating with live music in the summers which is kind of nice. I wish we liked it more? The whole experience is just... alright.
The Local - A special spot in the north west side of Grand Rapids that more people need to know about. The Local has always had great service, good prices and they pour a nice cocktail! Now they have a new chef Joaquin and he is a master flavor crafter. West Siders - if you haven't visited the Local is a couple months you need to. Parking: Lots of parking Wheelchair accessibility: Totally accessible. Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian and gluten free options available.
Waited for 25 minutes, and never had a server stop by our table. Not sure if the food is good or not, never had a chance to order. Gave one star because zero wasn't an option. IBG just down the road was great though, great service, and great live music.
New menu is not good. Brought my kid because we really enjoyed the food before, had the front of house manager as our server. Everything on the menu had jalapeño puree or something similar most kids don't like and asked about removing things for our order. Was told there are NO modifications. My kid chose not to eat, I thought I would try the quest since we were already here. Chorizo was burnt black, it was served with about 20 pitiful and greasy chips, was provided horrible service and I will pass on this place moving forward. As a server/ bartender there was zero reason to be treated the way we were as customers. Service was HORRIBLE. Too bad, I really enjoyed this place before. And why is there pickled veggies and coleslaw in my queso?
Love this place! The staff is friendly and attentive. The draft beer selection is numerous with the old standbys and lots of craft beer. The food is always good but the pizzas are the best!Food: 5/5
Wow! Fantastic food and pleasant service. As a fine dining Chef with over 40 years of experience I’m a difficult person to impress. I Am Impressed! Food is fantastic and staff is very personable. Place is CLEAN and prices more then fair. Thank you Local!
The place is doing great. Nice to have other options then "bar food". Staff is always personnal. Food is good and unique, much needed in that area.
