The Local Coffee and Tea

Story

The Local Coffee and Tea opened November 6th, 2012 just around the corner from it’s sister shop, The Slow Train Cafe. Although it’s the newer of the siblings businesses, the Local has developed into it’s own between the intimate, relaxed atmosphere to the pourover bar offering Cleveland coffee from Rising Star Roaster, duck-rabbit, Six Shooter, and City Roast.

When it comes to food, baked goods are made in house fresh every morning. We also offer scones from Olof’s Daughter who has been baking delicious goods in Olmsted Falls for years. The delicious bagels come from Bialy’s located on the East Side of Cleveland.

The Local never fails to get my order right and serve it with friendliness! They are always wearing their masks and their pick up set-up is absolutely ideal for these COVID times. Thank you, Local family, for being thoughtful and awesome!
Very nice place. Student atmosphere. Not the best place e to study, but cozy for a cup of coffee
Good bagels with nice topping options. Can take a while during busy times, but the coffee is always delicious.
I love this place. The best dirty chia with almond milk.
This may sound silly, but I'm totally serious. The iced tea is excellent! And service is always great. Keep doing what you're doing
Really good espresso, I love Cleveland bagels and they serve the bagels with their own toppings instead of the regular schemers. Cozy atmosphere. However take note they open at 9 during the summer. Manager has tried to update but apparently google doesn’t believe her.
Some of the most delicious coffee creations you can find! This coffee shop is a must visit when you are in Oberlin!
Perfect place to have coffee for socializing, or for studying. Lovely environment and good coffee or tea. If you have a sweet tooth like me, I recommended the Albino Squirrel. Also love the lavender scones
