The name says it all! The lobster shack is a what you see is what you get type of joint. There is no obvious indoor seating, but the ocean view from the large outdoor patio is spectacular. For those looking for authentic flavors of the sea without the complexity of extra flavouring, the lobster roll is a great choice. Large chuncks of minimally seasoned lobster, placed on a bed of toasted bread that ia lightly buttered, makes for a tasty snack. The mussels are similarly uncomplicated-steamed to perfection and sold with a side of butter. Everything is served in disposable containers with plastic cutlery making cleanup easy.
As the name lobster shack you can expect good seafood here and on a reasonable price. They serve lobsters cold, hence we didn’t try here. But the lobster rolls were perfect!! It was crowded on a Sunday afternoon. The wait for placing order and receiving order was tooo much. They do not have indoor seating and the seating outside has a scenic ocean view.
The best lobster roll I've had probably ever. At $18 for a lobster roll platter this spot offers a great deal right on the beautiful scenic waterfront. Total for two lobster platters and two lemonades came out to just under $50 and it was well worth it.
Loved this place. You can't get better than a lobster roll from a place selling live lobsters. Picnic tables outside by the beach were very nice. Wasn't crowded at the mid afternoon time we were there. Two lobster roll platters and bottle of water = $43 with taxes. Very tasty. Recommend!
Amazing experience. The oysters were fresh, meaty, and inexpensive. The mussels were delicious and fresh. The staff is incredibly friendly. There is plenty of parking and places to sit and eat. Overall, a fantastic local experience that I would strongly recommend if you are in the area.
Toasted bun, lobster roll platter. Is a very small bun with minced Lobster and Potato chips. Ideally, if you are looking for a snack, it's a good option but a planned meal for a family. Probably not the best choice. Roll is tasty but if you have had a long day or a busy day and are hungry this is probably not the best choice. Kid-friendliness: Great are for eats and to play in small water play are and ocean with out door shower to clean off. Parking: Great amount of parking
Great lobster roll, great location. The price to quality was great. The only downside was the use of chips instead of fries which considering the price was understandable. I wish the fries option was available.
A recommended place to stop by and get some of their delicious lobster rolls. They have a patio eating area where you can enjoy the lovely view.
We found this spot on the way back from East Point Lighthouse. It is so good! Visiting the island we knew that oysters and lobsters were going to be on the menu. We started the trip at an oyster house and when we got here, we were told that there is a distinct difference between a "lobster dinner" and a "lobster roll"...each worthy of experiencing. When we drove by this beach we saw the sign and thought, "why not try it?" We are so glad we did!! It won the 2019 best lobster roll award we found out once we went inside and for good reason! $15 for a fantastic lobster roll. The bun was perfectly toasted and had the feel of what we used to call "fluffy white bread." It was stuffed with a huge amount of lobster salad, and came with a side of sweet pickles and potato chips. They also sell live & frozen lobsters as well as bulk unshucked oysters. They do sell shucked oysters too - I had 1/2 dozen and loved them! We're already planning to go back one more time before we head home!
Very disappointed to see that this business does not support their fellow local businesses. When looking for recommendations for the best lobster roll in PEI, we came across this little place. The lobster roll was pretty good, but I have to say that we were EXTREMELY disappointed to see dozens of No Name bags of potato chips lining the shelves behind the prep area Most places we visited on the island proudly advertise that they support other local businesses. Shame on you Lobster Shack for not including locally grown and manufactured potato chips with your meals.
