Great place. Arguably the best restaurant in Lindsay. It was wonderful to have great food in a great atmosphere. If you're a vegetarian you might want to stay away. The pickled vegetables, the cooked meats, dessert, and even the house salad was exceptional. The wife loved the sweet German white wine. You should come here for a proper dining experience.
Everything was delicious.. great friendly service .. fair prices Highly recommend this spot .. must try!
Food was delicious and authentic. Enjoyed every bite and will go back again!
Amazing German food! A family run restaurant where they make you feel very welcome.
Love their Authentic German food and I,m from Nova Scotia. Super owners and staff. I have been there 4 times, including taking my Mom for her birthday and 7 of her friends. They all love the cosiness of this charming house/ restaurant.. Their Schnitzel is to die for. And they like to walk around sometimes and hand out German Pastry. I would book a reservation first as it seats about 40 - 50 people. Hope you enjoy.. It is open now march 28, 2021 ..
Excellent food. Cozy homey type of decor. The onion cake appetizer that everyone gets was amazing should be a dish you can order. Ordered the cordon bleu schintzel and it was stuffed with a herb butter was out of this world. Would recommend this dish
I was really disappointed today. It was my birthday and I was looking forward to some delicious European food. Tried to make a reservation, but no one picked up the phone. So we decided to go to Lindsay anyway 50 minute drive, only to find the place locked. Found a little note in the window, that they won't be open for lunches for few weeks. It would've been helpful to their customers if they posted that information on their website or message on the phone. It's not that difficult. I wanted to send them a private message, but there is no contact information, so here it is in reviews. Updated: We decided to try it again. This time we called to make sure it's open. We found out that they don't open for lunch anymore. So we went for dinner starts at 4. We were welcomed by the owner and shown to a table in a cozy dining room, decorated in the German style - very pleasant and warm. My wife had a pork stake and shrimp cocktail. She liked the steak, but not so much the shrimps. I had the goulash soup, which was awesome and the Jager schnitzel, also very delicious. Overall a very nice dining out, highly recommended.
Never been here before but I will be back..simple menu with few options but vwry tasty food..place is spic n span! Clean and 1 waitress was working but boy she never missed a beat and we got everything quickly..great experience.
always a great place to dine; food is great authentic and lots of it. Decor is so like Mom's house / kitchen, Hope it opens fully soon as no one wants to lose this place.
