The Lee's Bakery

This place is a real gem. Everything we sampled was beautifully crafted. There is no pretense here. The spinach pies are simple, as they should be, with lemony greens inside surrounded by a golden brown crust . They are refined and elegant like the woman behind the counter who took our order. The heat in the room was stifling but she appeared unaffected as she wrapped our selections and invited us to come back anytime. The baklava was also lovingly made, a perfect combination of honey sweet and crunchy walnuts with crispy phyllo, a special treat of antiquity well suited for a catered event, perhaps a wedding, on Mount Olympus.
