One of my favorite spots in all of the city, I always find something fun and inspiring creativity for myself or for others when I come here. The staff are all gems of people and they are intentional of building a warm, generous community. On top of all the great goodies The Learnary offers, they also have great workshops! This past weekend I attended the entry by donation Jewelry Repair workshop led by Stephanie Menard. She helped reimagine one of my orphan earrings back into a pair, taught me the skills to do it, and shared her tools!! and I am so thrilled to wear these earrings again. I'm really looking forward to the next jewellery repair workshop, and checking out other events at The Learnary.
Lots of really fun activities, and they have get togethers some days. Last time it was making little machines out of wood, today it's making electronic circuits with playdough! If you're looking for resources to get your kids off of the screen this is the place. Also a great resource for unique craft supplies that I haven't seen carried anywhere else locally.
Great little store full of really cool art stuff. Had lots of craft supplies that I haven't seen anywhere else in the city like punch needle supplies and things like that. They also accept donations of old craft supplies which is great and I'll ba taking a bunch of stuff to. Really love this place and I wanted to buy everything
This is an awesome neighbourhood store and resource. Great games, education resources and activities. Extremely helpful, committed and community-minded owners. Our family has bought a number of products there. And on the occasion we have given gift certificates to growing minds, the recipients have been delighted.
This place is such an amazing experience!~ It's not just a store. It's a keystone community building experience. Perfect to go explore on a rainy day with kids. They have so many wonderful ideas to have some great family non screen time. I'm sure you will get a ton of ideas to stay home and have a blast.
The Learnary has quickly become a neighbourhood spot. The lovely owners have created a welcoming place for everyone. Their store is beautifully curated, it's the perfect place to pick up a gift for anyone, especially a curious child. It's a great resource for Home Learners as well. Their weekend workshops are a great way to spend an afternoon, whether it be learning how to do block printing, how to upcycle a pair of jeans into an apron, or how to repair an old chair.
A fantastic community hub full of treasures to inspire learning and growth for all ages. The staff are extremely welcoming and helpful and I love that they host so many activities and workshops even via Zoom these days!.
A treasure of a resource for families and creative/curious individuals of all ages. We especially appreciate their puzzle exchange corner and friendly community-minded staff.
We love the Learnary for all kinds of DIY supplies and makers events. So happy this business exists!
