We found this place via Google search. They happen to have live band the day we went, it was packed but we managed to get a table. Due to short staff in kitchen, they had last call at 8:30pm that day so hours may not be the same everyday, better check before you go if you go late. The portion is generous and delicious for both dishes we had: fully loaded burger and pork schnitzel.
The Lantzville Pub: A century old classic pub, but without all the saloon behaviour. This place has great food, complimented by ocean views and a recently overhauled small town main street. The service is fantastic. Live music every now and then rounds out the experience.
Good fish and chips. Staff are nice. I tried their bacon poutine and was quite impressed. I don't i think it's on the menu but you can ask for it. I would would recommend for pub food.

I always pass by this place, but today I finally got to try out the food. The pub is located in a bedroom community north of Nanaimo. It has great views from its patio of the waters. However it's plus 30, so we opted to go inside where it's air conditioning. Both the patio or inside offer a lot of table space. We came on a Thursday afternoon, so the crowd was just enjoying the afternoon sun and beers. My friend ordered the clubhouse $18 and beer $5.50. I went with the pork schnitzel $20 and pop $2.50. The clubhouse my friend ordered was very good and the beer was nice and cold. My pork schnitzel was outstanding with a nice gravy and mushroom sauce. It was cooked well and tasted wonderful. The mash potatoes and steam vegetables were good, but I would like spaetzle and pickled cabbage. Still I quite enjoyed it. I believe they have a happy hour special from 2-5 pm, which we missed. The server was nice and the food came out quick. For an older building they did a great job making the washroom nice and clean. The dining area has air conditioning and the table and chair was good. I would definitely recommend and return again.
Great fish n chips and gravy. Nice and salty. Crisp beer.
The staff were friendly enough, but food was sub-par for the price we paid. Large parties of customers were using a no-exit door to smoke cigarettes throughout their meal, and their smoke wafted in through the door further deterring us from our food enjoyment the whole time we were there. Staff did not seem to squash this habit, so we left promptly. Better luck next time?
Wow, just wow. Not a good wow though. Cycled there with my wife and visiting son. Wanted to support a local business. Waitress had zero interest in wanting to make a customer feel welcome. She actually threw a menu on our table, without a word. We left after about 15 minutes without being able to order. This restaurant can obviously afford to ditch well paying and well tipping customers. Unfortunately, this was the second of two attempts to try the food there. There will not be a third chance.
Really cozy atmosphere' especially the patio with heaters on a brisk September evening. Service was great and the food comes out so fast you can hardly sip your drink before it arrives and the speed doesn't mean a skimp on quality everything was perfect and great prices too!
Wonderful staff. They had the patio set up nicely with dividers between tables and each at a propane Heater. The view was wonderful. The food was so good thst we only have empty plates to show lol
