We just visited it since it’s near to the lake with an awesome view. Guess what? Inside the restaurant you have this beautiful vibe, where music is being played live. I happened to see this 3 people who beautifully sang and played guitar. I just loved the ambience. Perfect dinner spot. Apart from it, the food, it was tasty too. Had jalapeño poppers and crispy chicken wrap, both tasted equally well. The food served was of homemade taste, and I loved it.
We had great service from the moment we walked in - greeted with a smile by all staff - provided with menus promptly - we ordered the Lakeview breakfast and the egg and peameal breakfast sandwich - both were delicious and the crispy home fries were top notch. We had waited for 15 minutes at the spot next door without our order taken, so this little gem, was such a stark contrast when it comes to customer service excellence. The patio looks across at Rice Lake and is clean and comfortable. Thanks to all staff for a great breakfast.
WOW! I wish I could give this place more stars! The food is so delicious, reasonably priced, the plates are beautifully presented, the sausage is the best I have ever tasted and the homefries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, absolutely perfect delicious breakfast. The service is excellent as well as such a welcoming, clean and happy place to stop. We will definitely be back, it's worth the drive!
Very homey style mom and pop restaurant. Though our server was not the friendliest, food was reasonable and adequately priced. The ambiance was cottage like and welcoming. The restaurant is a jaunt away from public docks. Plenty of parking is available if you so desire. There is extra $2 charge for breakfast between 1100-1200pm… call it a transition fee … not sure what else I would call it … if you are hungry …. This is a good spot.
Some really big pieces of fish!!! I thought they would be small so I ordered the two piece haddock and they were BIG! I was only able to finish one. It was cooked perfectly; fresh, crispy, and very tasty! The fries with the gravy were a great touch. The prices were a little on the higher side but worth a visit. Loved the lakefront view. It gets busy in the summer so keep that in mind!
Anitha was incredible! And omggggg this peanut butter cheesecake blew our minds!!!! Homemade and the milk was a perfect addition. You must come and have their food!Food: 5/5
Very friendly and attentive staffs, good portioned food.Food: 5/5
I’m giving two stars instead of one because they have a dog-friendly patio. I should have reset my expectations when we stood at the “please wait to be seated” sign for 10 minutes without being acknowledged. When I finally approached someone and asked for a table on the patio, she said “go ahead and seat yourself.” OK. When we ordered our very simple breakfast and our server said it might take some extra time, we thought “well, it is Mother’s Day” — even though there were only two parties on the patio including us, the interior tables weren’t that busy and there were easily five or six servers working. But AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER, our food emerged. We are talking basic eggs and bacon dishes here. A 1.5-hour wait for a diner-style breakfast is obscene, even if every table in the joint had been full. My daughter’s eggs had a hair in it. The sausage and peameal were really good and food was served fresh, but OH MY GOD — not worth waiting an hour and a half. On top of this, smokers continued to congregate on the sidewalk directly in front of the patio, so we also enjoyed frequent wafts of cigarette smoke during our extremely long visit. Editing based on restaurant's response to which I cannot reply to emphasize: it was NOT busy while we were there. There were two parties on the patio us and a group of 8-10 people and inside it was about 1/3 full, definitely fewer than half the tables were occupied. If it had been packed inside and out, I would have been more understanding and maybe waiting an hour would have been acceptable. But 1.5 hours would still be outrageous. Kid-friendliness: There is a well-priced kids’ menu but making kids wait 1.5 hours to eat is a recipe for disaster. Mine were rightfully hangry.
Found this little out of the way place with a beautiful view. While we looked for parking, we noticed a lot of people coming here instead of the place next door, so we decided to try it. Amazing food! Large portions, reasonable prices, beautiful view!!!! Parking: Two spots in front, lots of street parking across the road. Wheelchair accessibility: Nice ramp to the door.
Visited this place absolutely unplanned on my way back from Kwartha Provincial park and I am sure to visit again . Tried their Chicken Souvlaki with Greek salad and it is one of the best I have tasted so far. Loved the food , ambience and the hospitality. The host made sure we had a wonderful experience . DEFINITELY A MUST VISIT !
