Wonderful place to eat. Super friendly staff, great food, great views. Only miss for the perfect ratings was the wait time. I'm glad we waited for sure but it was a long one. That said, the food looks amazing as seen below but also matches the taste! Will definitely be back to try the chicken and waffles in the near future as they looked amazing table beside us made me very jealous. If you're in the area, stop by. The owner will likely stop at your table for a chat as well! Great people work here.

Amazing atmosphere. Amazing staff. Beautiful menu. Kid friendly environment. Love the food. Food tasted super delicious. All in all we had an amazing time.

Beautiful spot on the lake with a great atmosphere and great view. Very hearty meals. Usually very well done. I had the chicken and waffles tonight, which was very tasty. Great flavour, Mac and cheese is delicious. Waffle was a touch dry, but great maple flavour.

Don't go here unless you have proper ID for alcohol or else they will treat you badly or at worse have you tarred and feathered. Our lunch at this restaurant was ruined by an extremely aggressive and intense waitress. My 27 year old son forgot to bring his ID and could not order alcohol. My husband ordered a craft beer and offered my son a taste. Our waitress came running over and loudly announced that she was watching us which in itself is unnerving. She was aggressive and very intense stating it was illegal for my son to drink. My son said it was okay and that he would not try it. She continued on for several minutes in a loud aggressive and intense manner with other patrons watching. She escalated the situation to confrontational and accusatory. My son had not yet touched the beer. Nearby patrons after she left joked about it to try and make the situation more pleasant for everyone. The waitress's handling of the situation was terrible, ruined our lunch and made a spectacle for everyone else nearby. This place is badly in need of better training for their staff on how to serve their customers better. We definitely will not be going back or recommending it to anyone else based on our experience. The food was average and the wait for it was long, at least half an hour after being ordered. The restaurant was not busy at this time with 5 or 6 other tables being served.

The service from Danielle was prompt and friendly. We were surprised at the amount of choices on the menu. I had the Fried Fish and "Whatever" in this case, fries. My daughter loved the Lamb Burger. They made a custom vegetarian wrap for my wife, no questions asked. They brought a free dessert for my son in law because it was his birthday. The owner thanked us as we left. The grounds were pretty.

Amazing food, lovely atmosphere, wonderful service/menu/owners. If I lived within a hour drive of this place, it would be our date night destination weekly. We will be back again next year. Thanks for a meal to remember.

Food was fantastic. If you're expecting ho-hum pub fare, buckle up. Seafood chowder was superb, and the weekly smoked special smoked, handmade sausages when I was there was mindblowing. Sampled food from others at the table, and both the lambburger and caesar were also absolutely first rate. The service was just as impressive as the food. Our waiter made allowances for the kids without being prompted, made fabulous recommendations from the menu, and was always available, but never hovering. And you can't beat the location. Stop here - you'll be happy you did.

This place is a true gem, we were just blown away how amazing the ribs were, just fall off the bone with a soft touch, I myself had the smoked special for the day, which happened to be duck, WOW just melted in the mouth, our sever Laureen was awesome and a pleasure, the scenery is just beautiful in the early evening. great atmosphere and amazing Chef and Kitchen staff for the food put out

I was visiting Bancroft for work late on a Thursday and decided to look up some reputable local restaurants... The Lakehouse Restaraunt came up first. The reviews were great so I drove the 20 minutes and was greeted by someone at the door who notified me I wouldn't be seated at a table for 30 minutes due to a large group they were tending to as they were short staffed in the kitchen. I sat at the bar and had a drink while I waited. All servers continuously checked on me while I waited and my drink Mojito was fabulous. 20 minutes later, I was seated. The service was outstanding. The servers were kind and made sure I was taken care of/that I had ordered/made sure the food was cooked to my liking etc. Before the bill came, one of the waitresses Melissa told me they would be giving me a free desert for my patience when I had first arrived. I had such an excellent experience here and I would reccomend this restaraunt to anyone! Thank you Lakehouse!
