This store is simply wonderful. We live in southwest Michigan but visit the Lakeshore when we get the chance. We are all foodies, and the store has everything the foodie could ever want. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable. Always a pleasure to go.

I absolutely LOVE this store!! I was so pleased when this kitchen shop opened several years ago as I love to cook. We live and work in Grand Rapids, but try to spend as much time as possible in our home in Manistee. It is such fun to go into The Ideal Kitchen when I am in Manistee because they always have something NEW! The owner, Shelley or her staff are great about explaining & demonstrating how something works, comparisons of products & additional ways to use a product. They are always so helpful & knowledgeable of their products. They have already done the research of which products are the best & that's what they carry in their store. I have taken many cooking classes so I know the best resources in evaluating products but in the end; I've learned that I can trust The Ideal Kitchen to carry the best! Everything in their store is reasonably priced, so I have found myself waiting until I'm headed to Manistee to purchase something/anything for my kitchen. The experience in itself of going into their shop (which you can tell by their photos!) is so pleasant, refreshing and personable compared to shopping online or at Bed Bath & Beyond. Cooking can either be a chore or very enjoyable, depending on how you look at it. I think that shopping for just the right tool is half the fun & makes it much easier to do the job!
