I had gone to the Regent location to see if they could match the price of another Home Depot knowing they didnt have to as this location was the only place that had inventory of a discontinued seasonal item. The seasonal staff member rolled her eyes and told me to ask customer service...I went to customer service... as I was standing in the customer service line that same staff member came up behind me and decided to call the manager. Erika said manager came over and made me feel like a complete idiot for asking. She was extremely condescending and scoffed at one point. I remained polite and left without making a purchase. The attitude to treat someone like a non human for asking what I thought was a reasonable question could have been left aside. The next time I went to the location today the same female staff member, that I originally spoke with, was there and could be heard discussing me to another older female who worked there. I ignored this and asked a male staff to check to see if they had an item in stock. After I was done speaking to him the older female staff member who was being spoken to approached and pulled aside the male staff, I was earlier speaking to. She could be heard muttering something about not providing a discount even though I had not asked for one. Really embarrassing for myself and also this location. Ive always done most of my shopping at Home Depot and never have encountered this incredible lack of decency, behavior and discrimination.
The staff is generally quite helpful in explaining the tools and hardware I need for projects. Like any other Home Depot, you usually don’t have to wait in line, and the tool rental staff are very nice and friendly!
I was a customer with limited mobility at 1590 regent Ave store in wpg today. I was looking for a small piece of 3/4 in plywood and fortunately I was served by a young gentleman named Will who was working in the lumber dept. This young man went above and beyond to assist me to find what I required. He assisted me with my goods to the car and put it in for me. I am very happy to acknowledge this young employee gave utmost superior customer service and I'd like to relay this to the store manager of that store. I was in that store at approximately 2 or 2:30 in afternoon on July 8th.nPlease relay to this young employee my sincere gratitude for his extremely caring customer service. I am a handicap customer who has a undergone a recent large surgery and am very thankful and appreciative for Home Depot.nSignednHappy Satisfied Customer
Went to try and buy closed cell floatation foam. They don't carry it. It took a while to find help, but she was very professional and thorough.nThen.. I got romanced by the garden centre! I was was disappointed that no plants were on sale.. 3rd week of July! So I didn't buy any even though they had many nice ones. I hoped to buy a fern for the ground, but they had none either. Store had great selection of everything one needs from a building centre, I just wanted odd things I suppose.
Very disappointed to hear that this store throws out perfectly good soil just because the bag is ripped or has a hole. I know this for a fact because Elias, an employee at the Regent location, was the person who informedme of this policy. He also told me that I could confirm it with his supervisor but I chose not to considering how disappointed I was to hear that they even do this in the first place! Why not discount it like the other locations do?nWon't shop at this location ever again now that I know this. What else do they throw out that's just fine??
