I placed an online order through the website for a Ryobi wet tile saw that came with the stand. It was delivered very quickly through door dash I think this is what HD is using for home delivery now. The box was a clearly resealed and had been damaged. This tool had be obviously used before, the cutting service was very much scratched and the cutting blade was also missing. The box had a tag on it saying it was inspected by Jacy, and also has the store manager's name on it, Katia. Its clear to see that not even a visual inspection was done, let alone opening the box. The outside of a the box also had large USED sticker on it. I was sold a used item with no knowledge of this. The website sometimes has used items on it but this wasn't the case. I went to go return it to the Scott Road store who did accept the return. They also told me that this was a clearance item. The website didn't mention this either.nnLooking at most of the posts its clear to see that HD is not returning these items to Manufacture for defects or issues but attempting to resell to public without informing the public of the condition. I have bought used tools before at discounts but doing so unknowingly is different. HD needs to inspect their returns from staff who are actually knowledgeable on the item being returned. I can see from other reviews that some opportunist customers will buy equipment and then take what part is needed batteries, blades, etc and return the equipment. The next customer should not be responsible for your lack of looking into inspection.
I had an amazing experience at Home Depot thanks to Nima and Vsha! Home Depot is lucky to have such knowledgeable and friendly staff. Highly recommend asking for Nima and Vsha!
We signed our daughter up for the Kids Workshop at Home Depot. Our daughter is 2.5, and we weren't aware that the minimum age is 5. We offered to assist her with the workshop but they said she couldn't due to her age which we were honestly okay with.nnWhat left us disappointed though was they let other families with kids participate who were her exact age. The employees told us the parents told them the kids were 5 but they were out daughters height and 1 was not only shorter but less developmentally advanced. The employees did not admit they screwed up and told us they can't do anything if the other parents lied.nnWe were fine with them saying no to us and understand and respect safety policies, but they should be applied equally to all families. We hope Home Depot takes a closer look at how their staff enforces rules and now has policies in place to ensure fairness for everyone because this was absolutely not okay.
Amin is the best customer help/ Home Depot guy I had to chat with ! Super helpful and knowledgeable, he helped me get the best extension cord solution for my situation. He went out of his way to search out of the box solution because they didn’t have the one I was looking for and find me the best pricenAll of that with the smile too! :
I really like this Home Depot store. It’s smaller and don’t have all the products compared to the other locations but is so convenient and close of many other things. On the same complex you can find Winners, Save-on-foods and lots of other small stores. Some staff are really helpful but some of them aren’t that friendly with people trying some DIY like myself. The parking cost $3 for the first hour and they don’t refund it anymore no matter how much you spend.
