Once I find a department salesperson I usually find them to be quite knowledgeable but its the finding a salesperson that is the difficulty. Its a big store to have to wander around in looking for a sales person only to finally find one who tells you its not their department, then spend more time wandering around with the wrong salesperson, looking for the right salesperson. Surely Home Depot can come up with a better system for customers than wandering around to find department appropriate assistance.
Went in today to get a bracket for a drawer this morning,showed a employee what I needed and just said no they didn't have, feeling frustrated and not knowing what to do I went to Rona to see if by chance they could help. A nice lady at their customer service desk said yes took me to the section but they didn't have the part either but she said let's ask another employee who was a contractor - he may know. Well he also looked but no part then he suggested I order off Amazon ,he even looked up on Amazon and showed me that Amazon had in stock .. done thanks Rona employee.
My go to Garden Centre had been Home Depot….no longer! The cashier was rude to me when I simply asked if there was a section for Shade/part shade plants because I could not find one. I got a big lecture starting with ‘ I am only a cashier’ and ending ‘seasonal employees don’t stand around waiting to assist customers.’nIn the past years….the garden dept staff were very helpful, cheery and seemed to care. I drove over to SuperStore Garden Centre to make my purchases…..employee there……vast improvement!
Got my hose fitting fixed. They have a huge selection of pipe fittings.nCustomer service is always appreciated.nKeep up the good work
Ordered a washer online. The unit said it was delivered but never showed up. After HOURS on hold with customer support I was told there was almost nothing they could do till the following week. I asked for a refund and was told they would have to do an investigation before issuing a refund. I understand needing to do the investigation to insure I did not receive the washer, but that's still 1500$ out of my pocket with no washer and a new born on the way. If I ever do get refunded, I'll be sure to spend my money anywhere else and deffinatny not online. Can't stress enough how terrible the customer support was I am in shock.
