Food is average. Fries are way too salty. Fish and chips are insanely salty. Mushrooms on the appetizers are not what they are made out to be. Do not order these. Only thing I can recommend is the oysters.Food: 2/5
Great beers on Tap. Smittys and other good local Suds as well. Cindy, Michelle and Jo are super cool Bartenders. Nice diverse crowd, good music, good food. Nice patio as well. Mark your calendar for Lobster Fest .. Awesome
First time visiting took my mom out for lunch. We both ordered the Lobster and bacon grilled cheese. Yum it was good. Fries were cooked how I like them a little well done and my mom said her soup was also good. Looking forward to coming back.Food: 5/5
Went there for dinner had oysters, korean chicken bites and their prime rib. Extemely dissapointing and overpriced food with no taste and wasnt even cooked properly. The chicken bites were probably bought frozen from Walmart and tosses in some sauce just 6 tiny bites for $16 plus tax. You can buy a whole meal for that price elsewhere. Their oysters were nice but 6 for $20 are you kidding me. The last and the worst and I specially took a photograph of this the prime rib asked medium rare came undercooked rare the meat was oozing blood and there was no sear looked like it was tossed in the pan and taken out just like that. Mashed potatoe with the potatoe skin in it and the raddish was rotten and tastes like fungi. The muffin that came was burnt didnt eat it. $32 for all that and the food wasnt even propery served we got no dinner plates nothing. How can a restaurant serve such food and keep going is beyong my comprehension.
In the summer, my family from Orangeville and I from Toronto enjoyed a delicious dinner in The Hatter. My fish and chips were just as I would want to taste if I was visiting Scotland or Ireland again. The interior decor of The Hatter was reminiscent of my travels and I was happy with the ambience in this restaurant and in the bar area. The service was too slow for our liking but it gave us longer to enjoy being there with each other. I was also happy to see the iconic British red telephone booth at the front of the The Hatter's building and, of course, had to have my photo taken there. I was happy with this whole British/Irish restaurant experience and will definitely return there to dine with my family.
Best hamburger I've had in a long while! Fresh, flavorful....yum!! And our server....wow! She was tending bar, AND serving tables and yet, didn't miss a beat! Super efficient. Even though she was very busy, she managed to take the time to smile, be pleasant and made excellent suggestions.Food: 5/5
OMG! So delicious. We went here for a lovely Sunday brunch on the patio, and having oysters and a cocktail after being without restaurant dining for so long... just heavenly! Their Brie Fritters were also to die for... like the best, elevated version of mozzarella sticks I’ve ever had in my life. My only complaint is that this restaurant isn’t on SkipTheDishes, but it’s probably a good thing—I might literally order from them every day and get super fat if the quality of food is always this high!
Always love going to the Hatter. Jo is amazing, she's the best and luv her! Great service and you feel like family; Brie wrap, lobster linguine and oysters are my personal favorites!Food: 5/5
A heart warming experienceTried the mussels freshly bought from PEI and man oh man L. O. V. E. D it! The white wine sauce it was drenched in, is all you need or so I thought until I paired it with some beer I was recommended to try The Harp by the lovely waitress and it's my new favourite. Tried the Lobster Linguine the Lobster was a tiny bit hard to find but the sauce made up for it. The Chef is amazing and I will be going back for the once-a-month karaoke night The Hatter is a beautiful combo of history and good food and therefore, a must try if you visit Orangeville. Don't forget to tip your waitress well especially the one whose name I wish I'd asked :*
Dropped in for lunch w spouse and a friend. The service was good for a busy place with limited staff on Tuesday lunch. Food was exceptional, we are planning to return soon.7 Parking: Parked in front by door
