What a delightful experience we had at this local eatery. Called our order in as the kitchen was soon closing which got food into our tummies quick. The surf and turf and chicken Marsala were our choices. I highly recommend switching the fries for the side salad, super delicious. A good selection of brews to boot makes this a great place to enjoy a meal and a brew. Super friendly staff as well. Sadly the Monstrosity is the new view across the street. Not their fault.
Stopped in after a round of golf for food and drinks. Had different draft beers on tap which were fun to try. Shared the scotch egg for an appetizer which was very good. Was hoping to order the Tikka Masala but the cook that normally makes it was out. Hoping to come back to try. My husband had the sloppy joes don't remember the menu name which were very good. I had a plain hamburger and fries that didn't disappoint.
Great personal service. Chef came out to talk to us twice about beer selection and prime rib options. Our server was amazing. I had one of the best prime rib dinners I’ve had in my life, and my wife’s Guinness beef stew was delicious. Can’t wait to go back.
Wow, never had a Scotch egg before, but this place has really, really good ones! Plus there's a big selection of beers, on tap and cans or bottles. I will go back! Oh and the waitress was super friendly and helpful.
Sadly disappointed. We arrived around 7:30 Friday night, found an empty booth and sat down. Not once were we greeted. The waitress walked passed us at least four times, no eye contact and not one word. I wish I could say it was because they were busy but there were only 3 other tables with customers at various stages of eating. Even the bartender didn’t acknowledge us. Maybe we were invisible because after sitting at the table for at least 10 minutes we decided to leave….and no one said anything as we walked out.
So pumped for the scotch eggs. Eggs were nice and soft but see picture they were burnt! Register was broken, cash only, no Venmo or PayPal. Had to go to an ATM and the did not acknowledge how much of a pain it was to eat there. My first beer was spoiled in a warm pint. 2nd beer was 5 stars. Asked staff what to eat, they told me steak sandwich. I ordered it. The brought me Reuben. Waited for them to correct it while my party finished their lunch. Steak was not trimmed or seasoned. This place is not worth the calories.
Just stopped in for a late lunch and was very pleased. Great Scotch eggs, huge portion of fries with our meals. The chicken sliders were juicy and well seasoned. The fish and chips were solid. And the bartender was very sweet!
What a great place! Awesome selection of beers, super tasty food, and genuine service. Scotch egg was a great way to start and the ribeye sandwich was cooked to perfection. All at great prices and right on the sqaure. Great win for Indianola!
Stopped here for lunch today for my first visit. Ordered the 1/2 lb cheese burger and fries. They were very good! The wife does not like huge burgers like they fix so they made her two! One for now and one for later! Fries were great and plentiful. Nice place and great service.
Hot delicious food served fast. Very friendly wait staff. Ordered shepherd's pie and Reuben sandwich with a scotch egg for an appetizer. Had time to share and savor the scotch egg before the entrees were served. It was a classic Reuben sandwich served with fries. I expected the toasted bun served with the savory shepherd's pie to be crunchy like garlic bread but it was toasty on the outside with a tender flaky inside - ohhh soooooo good.
