We love playing Avondale when we visit CDA. It is a laid back course that is super fun. Well stocked pro shop, good food in the clubhouse, driving range, and nice carts. There are some very scenic holes. A few are really close to the homes, so be careful!
Hello all, just wanted to say something having lived on one of the fairways for several years. I am saying this because I want fellow veterans and people who support us and it is going to be derogatory but I don't care really. First the golf course has done their best to shaft the homeowners living on and around the course area by starting up machinery at as early as 3am without concern for others, including my 3 year old. I have tried to send messages to voice my concerns as well as have gone to city hall to do the same, results pending. There is no concern for others and this is why I am here voicing my grievances in hope others will figure out this is just another business that only cares about the Golden dollar and nothing about the people. I personally have had 3 confrontations with golfers that think it's ok to throw their beer cans over my fence and blast their stereos intoxicated down the golf course fairway. I also confronted a golfer that thought is would be a good idea to hit a golf ball at a man across the way and knock him off his riding mower, I confronted the person. I bought this home to raise my little girl and now at the point that I cannot use my back yard due to high speed fling objects, again, no response from the manager. I hope people see this message and realize I am not whining and put yourself in my shoes. I personally support veterans and their families and I hope we have your support as well in these times. Guess life is unfair and it's whatever, who cares, not my problem, that is why we are where we are. Anyways I personally have done my best to assure the course is safe by notifying authorities when someone is harming or abusing the fairway. This all being said I just want to share this so you can all keep in mind what these people are about and our experiences with them. Take care and God bless you all. Last but not least, I really appreciate all the broken windows on my house and vehicles, doing great.
An elderly friend and I had lunch at your restaurant today, for several years, we have enjoyed the food there but had not been in frequently anymore since the renovations, the space having lost much of its appeal for us, with way too much depressing dark brown! However, today, we decided to go there. There was only one server, the poor woman was swamped at the bar and though she quickly glanced in our direction a couple times, there was no acknowledgement on her part she had seen us. Eventually I approached one of the kitchen staff who walked by us and asked her to let that lady we would like a menu. It must have been well over 20 min, when she finally was able to come over. I ordered a Cesar salad with chicken. NEVER In my life, have I eaten such an absolutely bland, tasteless Cesar salad! I also noticed something tasting stale in it! I finally was able to identify it, it came from rancid tiny pine nuts that were added to the dressing! I let the waitress know of my displeasure with the food, saying that to charge us for this would be tantamount to robbery! She kindly took that Cesar salad off out bill! It is unlikely I will ever come back!
The narrow fairways and undulating greens makes this beautiful course challenging. Using a driver can get you into trouble and should be left in the bag except possibly on number 9. Enjoy
This is the best course in Kootenai County. Great staff, course well maintained, beautiful, charming and challenging.
Beautiful golf course but has changed since we moved here 5 years ago. So sad. Took some friends from out of town golfing. We were a foursome moving at a good pace. Had a twosome on our tail that we felt should go ahead of us because they were moving at full speed. Despite letting them play through they began to slow down and we had to wait for them a lot. The people behind us were antsy thinking it was us who was holding things up. The Marshall then told us we needed to skip a hole right when we were sitting still waiting for the two guys in front to tee off! We were given no compensation for our money in doing so. Made no sense …We explained that we had allowed the two guys in front of us to play through and that in the end it wasn’t us who was holding up the game. Instead the Marshall would watch us and expect us to hit our balls into the people in front of us as soon as they had barely moved ahead. It was the craziest thing I’ve ever seen and I’ve been playing since I was kid and had never experienced anything like this. I was embarrassed bringing my friends there. It upset us so much it ruined our fun day of golf. It was a Monday too. Perhaps the new influx of people moving here has caused the golf course to clog up the teetimes causing this strange situation. Either way you pay a lot of money to play golf and it’s not cheap to be treated this way. Nevertheless, I have a lot of friends who enjoy this place. Unlike myself they are members, so maybe they are just treated better for that reason.
Beautiful course! Large variety of food choices. The pros, servers, and admin staff are all very friendly and professional. We have been members since 2018 and my only complaint are the drunk guys occasionally hitting balls at us when golfing with children.
Good early conditions but the greens were pretty slow.
I love the beautiful little Lake that they have here it's got great fishing videos have really good trout great size and good eating they also have a wide variety of panfish and some bullhead catfish
Green fees are double what they should be. Haven't played here in 15 years and now I remember why, course is lined with old houses which made for a noisy round. Course conditions were good but not worth the price. Feels like a municipal course but at a premium price.
