As a regular customer to your Cambridge store I was thrilled for my parents when I heard you were opening up in Halifax!! They have already been in a dozen times and are over the moon to have you in the area. I stopped in today today while visiting and the store is spotless and decorated beautifully. The owner was so friendly as were his staff, keep up the great work, you're making Haligonians very happy!!
We got the sausage roll, birdie, steak and potato pie, and the corn beef pasty. All of it was DELICIOUS. Prices are very reasonable as well. Looking forward to trying the desserts next time, they looked mouth watering.
It has been 16 years since I have been to England, and I have missed the cheese and onion pastys. And the Smiths scampi and bacon snacks. My heart was bursting this morning discovering this place. The food is amazing, service was excellent . I will be back..
Delicious baked, friendly staff. A lot of products. very well located. ample parking. very generous portions. the cornish pasty a bit different than the cornish baked in Cornwall
What a nice addition to this plaza! This cute little shop has every day grocery items that I assume are native to the UK as well as pies, pastries, pasty's, and more.
Called in to this nice place the other day and such a great first impression. The place looked clean and the layout was so nicely done and easy to see. The service was first class and I had the pleasure of being served by a lovely Scottish lady who name was Carol and she was so friendly and the banter aka patter was so jolly and fun especially when she smiled. Got what I wanted and it's a sure thing that I will call again!
Great shop for all your British goods. Their pies, empire biscuits & fern cakes are delicious. The wee Scottish lass Carol that works there is a lovely lassie. Always smiling and very friendly. Highly recommend you go see it for yourself. You wont be disappointed.
In-store prices compare well to online ordering from the UK, especially when you take into account shipping and duties. Bakery is excellent, although being popular some items can be difficult to catch on the shelves especially Scotch Eggs. Cornish pasties are better than Ginsters; Devon nicer than Peters; pies are UK-style rather than Aus/NZ from Humble, smaller but more reasonably priced. One constructive criticism would be that the Minced ground beef pie could do with a meatier gravy. Proper scones. Staff are lovely.
Great taste of British baked goods. Happy helpful staff especially the young Geordie girl behind the counter. She’s polite helpful and has a wonderful smile.. it’s a must to stop at and buy some of your favourites you miss from over the ocean. happy customer
We are so lucky to have this wonderful addition to Halifax! Fabulous staff clean and welcoming shop and full of fantastic treats from the UK but this isn’t just an important store the bakery and baked goods are absolutely delicious! I’m so excited I can pop in and pick up all the things I miss from the UK but even more excited to be able to share these treats with our Canadian friends ! I highly recommend popping in and treating yourself to a fresh cream cake and a lovely Cornish pastie or pie you definitely don’t have to be missing treats from the Uk to enjoy the treasures you can find in here ! And I promise once you have stopped in you will be back for more ! Keep doing what your doing team at the British Pride Bakery it’s clear you all take great pride in your business and we appreciate you all !
