Elmwood Park is not short of great sandwich joints, but this place for being a chain business is crafting sandwiches as good as any specialty place around and that is because of the staff. There are a couple ladies that make you feel like you are eating in their home kitchen , from incredible daily soups to loaded bagels they do it all right. My favorite sandwich in the entire town is the Mexican veggie wrap from this awesome spot!
For a restaurant chain I thought died in the 90s and only available at airports this place never misses , today I got the Reuben on a garlic bagel and man it was . I've come here a few times sense c19 and I'm glad I did this company always have consistent bagels at the locations I visit.
I ordered a turkey club panini a little over $7 and for the price, I was a bit disappointed at how small it was. However, I also ordered a chopped salad and that made up for the sandwich. *Update 6/21/21 - ordered an Italian Trio on Asiago and a toasted Cheddar Herb Bagel. The sandwich was good would order again and my daughter enjoyed her bagel. The restaurant and it's bathroom is ALWAYS clean and the customer service here is ALWAYS GREAT. They offer a variety of bagels and cream cheese options. The coffee station is self serve and it also offers a variety of options on coffee and they offer tamales on weekends.
Just had a terrible experience with this store. I frequent this location regularly and have always taken care of the staff there, but I have no interest in going back after today. I placed a sizable order for a few items including two bagels toasted with plain cream cheese. When I got home I realized I had received two bagels untoasted with no cream cheese. So I drove all the way back to the store where they had the nerve to actually charge me another $2.14 for cream cheese! I told them I didn’t think that was right since they messed up the order and I had to drive back at which point the staff became VERY combative and started telling me it was MY responsibility to make sure they made the order correct and charged me correctly. The girl who made my order incorrect even tried to tell me I told her the wrong item. Never mind that she was multitasking making another order when she asked me mine, didn’t write anything down, etc. It was obviously my fault! I’ve went to that store for over two years on a weekly basis sometimes more than once a week!, but after today, I have zero interest in going back there. I will take my business down the road to Panera or other local shops. Hope you can provide the staff there better customer service training in the future.
I had the Sunrise Supreme ? on an everything bagel, my daughter had a sesame bagel toasted with cream cheese, and an ice mountain small water bottle. It was $15.15 for 2 bagels!! That wouldn’t be terrible if it tasted good.. It was disgusting! The sausage was some sort of frozen and microwaveable patty, and the eggs were plain, premade eggs. I think they warmed it up in the microwave. Bagel was salty and pretty flavorless otherwise. They don’t even toast the bagels well to add some texture. Never again! You’re better off going to Panera, or even McDonald’s.
For authentic NYC deli style bagels, look no further than this spot. Located in a Non descript strip mall, right off Harlem and North Avenue. It's family owned and received the most friendliest and attentive service. Sweet, savory, plain or gourmet, they have many flavors to choose from. I happened to visit during Lent so they had many Lox options. They also have hand made tamales on weekends, daily hand packed cream cheese spreads and bagels straight from the oven.
The word great in the restaurant name sets a standard for them to live up to. This is not like visiting a Dunkin donuts. These bagels are fresh, delicious, and vary in delicious unique flavors. I ordered the cream cheese and lox sandwich in the image. The service was great, helped me choose the right bagel and cream cheese based on recommendations. I highly recommend this delicious and cozy little restaurant.
I wouldn't even give it one star. Paid over$18.00 dollars for 4 bagels & 4 tiny cups of cream cheese. I should of refused the purchase my fault. Plus the bagels were terrible. Very doughy tasting like they weren't cooked well. We'll be calling corporate tomorrow.
Great bagels, sandwiches, good food all around. A bit on the pricy side for a bagel and cream cheese, I usually buy a dozen and keep them at home for the week. My girls love their flavors.
GAB is one of the best places to go for lunch. Their turkey club is crazy delicious. Me and my coworkers eat here all the time and it's always spot on!
