Visually a very nice course but there are some issues. Rough is inconsistent and the greens are SLOW. Many par 4’s are too long for women my index is 3.5 and I had to hit woods in from the whites on a lot of them. There are dandelions and weeds growing in the bunkers….not what I expect for a $130 golf course. Customer service was great and carts were excellent.
Very disappointing day on the links. Starts with having you sign a liability waiver they sell your email addresses, charged a full round of golf for a disabled rider said it was a liability / insurance issue, staff could care less about serving you actually downright rude, course has change ownership and the new owners are selling the property around the course building high density housing and not investing in the course itself. Too bad, according to our host, was a nice place to play for a reasonable rate. None of us will be back.
Beautiful course. I have played here years before and the course is in much better shape now. There is about 5-6 stunning holes on this course: numbers 1, 2, 9, 15 and 16 were my favourites. My only criticism, although not environmentally friendly, would be that you cut down the trees lining the 17th and 18th holes so that you can see Georgian Bay. Also, the course is very expensive. I would play again
Great place for breakfast over looking the golf course and Georgian Bay. Friendly and efficient waitstaff.
Currently June 25 2023 getting work done on bunkers and some new home construction but other than that a scenic, challenging course. Some great holes and shots. Facilities are great and staff too. Also gorgeous Georgian Bay views. 5 star without the work being done.
I made our reservation online and prepay all rounds, NO REFUNDS. My wife had foot surgery she could not play, still using special slippers. I ask for a voucher and permission for her ride with me. The pro shop would not allow anyone to ride in the cart unless they pay the full greens fee. I had to pay over $100.00 for her to ride the course. The staff from arrival to finish very unfriendly, we all felt that they either didn't want to be there or they didn't want us to be there. It is so sad to see all the construction, the course use to be so beautiful. The new company brought the course and it is obvious they only care about the money.
So much potential and so little payoff to customers. If you are going to charge $760 for 4 people with 2 carts, make them pay in advance and make them fill out a waiver or else….then have a few marshalls out there to speed things up, don’t start with a 400 yard par 5 and then have the second hole a 405 par 4, and apologize for zero sand traps ready on the back nine. Wow! It could have been a fun round because the course could be beautiful. Instead, I have no desire to return any time soon.
Love the course, have played there the last 3 years. Played yesterday July 7 , back 9 sand traps all under repair and unplayable, front nine traps not maintained and they charge full price to play, so many other courses in the area at half the price are in better condition. Will not play there again and don’t recommend playing there in the near future for the price they charge.
I would have given a 5 star but the starter was not very welcoming nor friendly and this is not the first time I have encountered this. Public guests are treated as second class citizens. We arrived a few hours ahead of our tee time however we could not go to the range even though no one as there. Had to then wait until men’s league teams passed through. I guess we just need to arrive a few minutes before our tee time then.
Really friendly and helpful staff from the front desk to the starter. The front nine is now the back nine so we started on the 10th tee. The course designer must have been the Marquis de Sade. The course is over bunkered very odd shapes with fingers and the sand was like concrete. To give them credit the first 5 holes on the back nine, they are removing a lot of the bunkers and replacing them with more normal shapes and the sand is really soft. When all done it should be pleasant experience , but be prepared for construction in the interim , so it. seemed a bit overpriced. The course is set in a very pretty landscape with views of the bay. We will return when it is all finished.
