Meh...Over priced and underwhelming warm food choices. Prepackaged salads and sandwiches were small and pricey. Coffee bar was okay with helpful staff. Best part of Cafe is location! Inside and outside seating is awesome...Bathrooms entire garden as well are ADA compliant and definitely wheelchair friendly. Wheelchair accessibility: Okay for wheelchairs, walkers and scooters. Ramps provided as needed and low thresholds noted.
We went for Sunday Brunch recently. Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 AM to 2 PM. Like all the other times we've eaten here the food was delicious. Lots of little extra flavor touches that make it tasty and interesting. For brunch, you order and pay at a counter and the food is brought to your table. This time we had a mushroom and cheese omelet, lemon-blueberry pancakes with blueberry coulis and a tuna melt sandwich. An outdoor dining terrace with grill is a lovely option when the weather is suitable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The place was impeccably clean. The Garden View Café is really a gem. The cost is very reasonable for a "nice" cafe. The only possible downside of eating delicious food in a gorgeous garden is the parking fee. Even though garden admission is free the cost of parking is typically $25 per car on weekdays and $30 on weekends. Less for seniors and free for garden members. Of course, you could Uber here or take public transportation or bike or walk if you lived nearby to avoid the parking fee. But when combined with a nice long garden visit, often with free concerts during the summer, the parking fee for a meal here seems really worth it.
Friends and I visited The Orchid Show, and had lunch at the garden grill. Save your money and order something else. The fish and chips were cold and they're was more breading than fish. After seeing such a nice display of orchids, lunch was a big disappointment.
The sandwich I bought was soggy. I guess you shouldn't expect better from the cheap though the price tag is $11 and environmentally wasteful way they package them: in a plastic film. Also they wouldn't heat them for you "because of cross contamination" even though they are packedFood: 2/5
Overpriced. Kind staff. Great outdoor view. Indoors walls are bland in secondary overflow room.Food: 3/5
Ok selection of food but you will have chance to sit on the nice outside patio with plants and flower around you Nice selection of drinks. Pleasant speedy service.
Perfect cafe to enjoy a full day at the Gardens. Good food fast service and ample seating. Breakfast was decent. Iced vanilla latte was perfect, not too sweet. The to go selection had many choices if you want to eat in the park.
The food was very good at an average price. The purchase time was a bit of a wait but the seating accommodated our large party and had a great view!Food: 5/5
Located in the Chicago Botanical Gardens. Very long wait, just "ok" menu. Food was good but nothing extraordinary. Quite pricey.Food: 4/5
Very expensive average food. The gardens are beautiful so I'd suggest bringing your own food and enjoying it at the many benches in the Garden areas. Cant believe a small lunch for 2 cost almost 50 bucks.
