It was a most satisfying experience. My daughter took me there as she knew I’d love it being a food blogger. Here you can find at top restaurants, indulge in the finest coffees and get the best pasta and Indian food too. A must when you are in Toronto. Do see my reel on this place on my Instagram page given in bio.
Bao Mama: I tried the chicken and shrimp bao buns and it was only average. The bun was good but the chicken was chewy and dry. I preferred the shrimp bao over the chicken. The place had good seating area, the wait wasn’t too long. If you are going to sit at the restaurant, you need to stand in line to place your order and then once they will bring the food to you at your table. The service was quick. Parking: Square One Parking
The food is fresh with variety of choices. Price is reasonable. We ordered three rolls shared by two adults, a young kid and a toddler which portion was enough to fill.
Wow, wow wow was the perfect place to eat! You can pick from lots of choices and every little shop was unique. So much creativity in every detail. Finally found a unique place in Canada to eat good. There was live music a great atmosphere. We had hummus you can see in the pictures it was very good. If you are at the mall please come and visit The Food District too!
The Food District looks awesome and I'm looking forward to spending more time there. For my first visit my wife and I ate at Blackjacks BBQ on April 2. We chose it in part because it was the only place with available seating at the time. The meal was good but not great. My smokey burger had a bit of a an ashy flavour and the calamari dish my wife had for lunch was too salty. We'll give them another try someday but we won't rush back.
Go to see for Yourself! It was alright! The Patties Express was delicious! I don’t think all cultures from Mississauga were represented fully! Very good effort I liked the experience!
I can see the concept they were going for similar to Chef's Assembly Hall in Toronto it brings a new addition of shopping exclusivity which I appreciate to expose consumers to new companies and support the small business or discover new products. I do find the space was rushed in terms of design and sort of cramped the whole middle aisle should have been just for seating. In fact Holt Renfrew should be closed seeing as no one is ever in there and they should have constructed it in that area instead as there would have been more than enough space. The vendors are ranging in everything from delectable desserts to mouth watering quick bites or nostalgic candies. It should be seasonally appropriate though for example one's like soups during the warmer season not suitable and as for cafe's and tea there's enough option for that in the mall itself. Seeing as retail is suffering this new selection of food eateries and local artisan shops bring more traffic because people are more interested in unique purchases especially ideal to come here for gift shopping and food will always be in high demand. It's fresh and fun idea but the fish place smells horrible and should be replaced. I've tried the rosemary and sea salt bagel a must have $4.50, one of the box donuts a rose and pistachio one not much a fan of that, 6 of the bourgeois's those are to die for, and a plancha dish of quinoa and chicken that was sensational!
The SquareOne Food District has all sorts of neat food, snacks, desserts all in one place. It's way more high end than a regular mall food court, cuz of the vareity of shops that's included in the Food District. Many of the shops inside offer bite size samples to try, like Hattendo, Uncle Tetsu Cheese cake pop-up. Awesome place to stop by in the mall and to grab some snacks
The place itself looked really nice - great design and well planed layout of different vendors, but for me it seemed like there is a bit too little savoury options compared to sweet ones.
EAT-SHOP-REPEAT!! The Food District is the new upscale place to visit if you are looking for a niche experience. Located in Square one this place offers a huge selections of eateries, dessert shops & even some cute plants .. Right from @dalmorostoronto pasta to @sweetjesus icecreams to @theboxdonutcanada or @danishpastryca rasberry crossiant to go with a cup of chai from @arvindas this is a food lovers paradise. Go visit The Food District if you want to discover something new, exciting and tantalize your tastebuds!
