Stopped here for a late lunch and I am glad I did. I was waiting this place to open, and I wasn’t disappointed. The small mixed shawarma with garlic potatoes was more than enough! The restaurant is clean, bright and spacious. The service was quick.
Dethrone the Prince and take down the Palace shawarma's, there's an Emperor in the Ottawa Valley. This place has probably the best garlic potatoes i have had in Ottawa so far, as I appreciate the fluffy real fresh tasting garlic sauce. The beef for the shawarma is probably the best I've had because it doesn't taste like dust in your mouth. The way they make their meats are not overly dry and have taste rather then relying on the toppings to mask it. A little disappointed there was no spicy garlic sauce but the owners put hotsauce on there for us. I was also impressed by the size of the sandwich as it didn't leave me hungry for potatoes and was glad to take them home. This place reminds me of the tasty meats you get in Zanzibar shawarma styles mixed with the Ottawa Valleys garlic sauce craze.
Was excited to try this shawarma location but ended up leaving rather disappointed. This is the first shawarma spot I have been to where the workers do not ask you what you would like on your platter. Ordered the Mixed platter Beef/Chicken and the worker began adding everything onto the platter unless we stopped them. Usually workers will ask you what you would like before adding to your plate. The quality of the food itself was also rather underwhelming, dry potato’s and chicken. Beef was the only positive. The sweet garlic sauce did not taste great compared to ones we’ve had in the past. Not worth the price, hopefully they improve in the future.
Shawarma places are a dime a dozen in this city, but this one absolutely stands out above the average. Very clean, friendly staff, quality and fresh ingredients, and their garlic sauce is formidable. As I write my review, another customer just told the staff how much he just enjoyed his first time and how he will be back. This may be my sixth time, but I felt the same way after my first time. I put this right up there with King on bank and Palace on Carling, well done!
Excellent Lebanese food. Property was clean and staff was friendly.
Just had a falafel with the works at this newly opened place. Really excellent. Very good service from the staff, and reasonable prices as well. They have also furnished the restaurant with a nice decor, some benches, and some tables and chairs. I will be going back. Highly recommend.
Super excited to try this new Shawarma. Hopefully they will improve as they just opened. They have great flavours! Garlic was great/ salad dressing/ and meat was yummy! However some downfalls were the tabouli, it was very dry. As well they don't ask you if you would like any veggies on your plate onion, pickles, ect like other places. Wasn't the friendly place, no welcoming when walking in and cashier doesn't smile or engage.
I really enjoyed my first experience here and I will be back. I ordered the chicken platter. Pros: - Great service size - Delicious flavourful chicken - Yummy crispy pitas in the salad - Good garlic sauce - Kind people - Excellent hummus - Great presentation Con - Potatoes were a little sad. I will be back!
Fresh, tasty & BIG. Don't order the large falafel sandwich unless your appetite is humongous! This is a fantastic place for good quality, reasonably priced Lebanese food. Truly excellent.
My family and I grabbed take out tonight, i ordered a family platter for 4. Let me tell you…. Service was great, portion size was massive could feed 6 people easily and the food was incredible. By far best shawarma in the city. If you haven’t been here yet, definitely worth the visit!!! Looking forward to eating here again. Cheers!
