The East Grille and Lounge, Oshawa

If you have been following me, you know that I LOVE a good Eggs Benedict. Found it!! Waitress was super sweet and even asked me if I wanted onions in my home fries. What?? Who doesn't want onion in their home fries??! Ok, let's back up here. The home fries are NOT french fries cut up and deep fried. They are chopped up potatoe wedges fried with spices and onion. THAT, in my opinion, makes the best home fries. If I wanted french fries I would have ordered off the lunch menu. As hard as it is to get the perfect home fry, and they NAILED IT, they also had THE BEST peameal bacon on said eggs benny! I appreciate that I didn't have to cut off the cornmeal coating because the bacon was fatty - because it wasn't - they were perfect slices of peameal on that English muffin. The hollandaise sauce was good and I noticed it was not as salty as typical of a good hollandaise sauce. That's not a complaint, I should be cutting back on salt, so I thank you for not overdoing the salt. Left there with a happy belly! See you again! PSA: For those with glasses quick to fog up: they have a massive free standing glass sign in their vestibule. At first glance I thought it was another door and had my hands on it ready to pull it over thinking it was a door! LOL - had me in stitches when I noticed what I was doing as I said "Oh my, that's not good - when you are not strong enough to open the door!"

I came in and was going to have a couple beers after working all day. The server refused to serve me. It wasn't because I was intoxicated. I hadn't even had a drink!!! She said she doesn't serve anyone. I found this a bit odd considering she works in a restaurant that has its liquor license??!! Why would a person be employed at a place that serves liquor and beer. And refuse to serve it?? And they are frequently out of premium beers. Molson Canadian tallboys are no where to be seen quite often.

Went for the first time as I live nearby. Place was tidy albeit the seating leather was ripped to shreds where we sat but I honestly couldn't care less. The waitresses demeanour seemed as if she could care less that we walked in. Not very happy or pleasant to speak to although she did come round to check on us frequently. The food was overall well done and came out reasonably fast. It throws off the mood when the server isn't pleasant or friendly. But customer service isn't easy by any means.

The atmosphere was just warm and inviting, service was friendly and quick, seating is VERY comfy and some booths have their own TVs. The food was excellent and not too expensiveFood: 5/5

We went to The East Grille and Lounge tonight for the first time. Considering the time walked in around 8:30 pm, it wasn’t busy, but our food was hot and delicious! Additionally, it was served all at once, so we all started our meals at the same time. I was definitely disappointed with the quality of the children’s burger it was just a cheap frozen pattie, but, we just wouldn’t order that again. If the owners read this, I’d suggest a house-made slider instead. That change would coincide with the existing quality of food. Our server was lovely and the restaurant overall seemed clean. Also, I asked for my bacon to be cooked well done, so that should be taken into consideration when viewing the photos.

I live close to this place, and just went in to the restaurant few weeks ago, it was beautful, classy, clean, food was so yummy, i have gone back several times with other family members and they agree. A litte gem right in the neighbourhood

The perfect omelette! So big. Cooked perfectly. Ingredients on the inside also sautéed perfectly. Nothing worse that raw vegetables inside your omelette. You gotta eat here! Thanks for a lovely breakfast!
