A local family owned pub; so come join our family!

Story

Established by Rick Pereira, Helen Pereira, and Patrick Cunningham, the Duke has been around for almost 4 years. Recently we moved from our old location to become bigger and better along the Sydenham River! From our staples like Fish and Chips and Stuffed Yorkie to the Portuguese Flair like our Grilled Chicken and Shrimp and Chorizo Pasta, We like to offer everyone a delicious meal and make each customer apart of the little family that we call the Duke!

Been there for lunch and supper. Great hidden treasure in Strathroy. Food was excellent both times; and very reasonable. Good small menu of proper pub grub, with some delicious portuguese surprises. I didn't give it give 5 because of the servers; the server we had for a late lunch seemed almost annoyed we were there, and the server we had for dinner while very friendly, needs to work on her personal presentation, and description of the food. One other minor annoyance, they have signs that they want to seat you even on the pub side when they're busy but they don't have a hostess or even a designated place by the mall entrance where they are looking for you; you have to march in and find someone to seat you. Maybe you're supposed to use the back door?

Everyone at our table absolutely loved their food! The pear salad is the best salad I've ever had! Service is also amazing. We were in town for a wedding and we asked a stranger to recommend a place and we are so glad she told us about this place!

Highly recommend the duke, great food cold beer. Servers are always here to fill up drinks and check on you. 5/5 would recommend
