One of the best places for real fish and chips. Had the 2 piece and my wife had the 1 piece with garden salad. The batter was light and crispy. Fries were also good. It was happy hour and the beer on tap was dark horse. Amazing local beer. Will highly recommend this place and will definitely visit again.
Heard this was the best fish and chips in St John’s so we had to try it. It was busy so we had to sit on the back patio which wasn’t the nicest atmosphere. Fish and chips tasted good, but not sure if it’s worth the price. A bit weird that we ordered the 2 piece and got 4 smaller chunks of fish. Service was very friendly and attentive, except for the fact that we got the bill and the payment machine handed to us at the same time. Paid the bill first and then read the receipt after to see that we were incorrectly charged an extra $6 or so for a Greek Salad that we didn’t have. My own fault for not reviewing the bill first but there wasn’t much of an opportunity. Overall, a pretty average experience and overpriced.
We were told to have the fish and chips here. Fresh cod? Yes please. Best fish and chips I've ever had. Lightly battered and full of flavor Highly recommend!
Great place to get some east coast fish and chips with the dressing - just be sure to get there before 8pm as the kitchen closes. The bar is open much later if you’re just looking for drinks. The staff are friendly, always busy.
Great experience, knowledgeable about their product, and makes great suggestions! I had their fish and chips, with added dressings, gravy, and coleslaw. The batter on the fish was light and crispy, while the fish was soft and flaky. The herbs in the dressing were a nice touch to the fries, and the coleslaw was on the creamier side. Each item was an individual add-on, so you can pick and choose which ones you'll like. Overall, it was a great lunch.
