The food was really good however it did take roughly 45 minutes to recieve our appetizers after watching people come in after us! We are a family of four so maybe that was the reason!nThe patio was a nice spot to have dinner with friendly people all around us!
This is going to be long but worth it.nFor all of us heading north or south through or more accurately around Shelburne, take a few minutes to go into downtown.nThere are a few choices of places to dine. The focus of this review is The Duffy The Dufferin Public House. We drove through downtown Shelburne, and out of the corner of my eye, I thought I saw an old church turned into a restaurant/ bar. We did a u-turn. My eyes weren't playing tricks on me.nWe parked in front of the old, restored Towne hall. We took a look at Shelburne on foot, walking through downtown. We found a couple of restaurants but decided to head off to Duffy. This was the church turned bar some of the seats were even church pews.nWe weren't terribly hungry, but somehow, our plates ended up very empty. I ate meatloaf, a great one, my spouse had the mac and cheese. A good selection of local taps were available.nThey advertised that their patio was dog friendly, and I met one of their canine clients, an adorable well-behaved silver lab named Cody.nNext time you're passing through Shelburne, go into town and enjoy a sit-down served meal with a beer for less than a burger and shake out at the intersection of highway 10, 89 and 124.
Good atmosphere. We stopped by on our road trip. Food was okayish. Pork ribs were not soft neither the sauce was flavoured. Felt like sauce was just rubbed before serving. Cocktails were not up to the standards. Have a good atmosphere though. Patio is good.
Came up for the weekend with my cousin to visit family and decided to stop in at the Duffy. Enjoyed the homemade nachos with homemade queso. It was so tasty. The service was quick and server was hospitable. I happen to be cold and after a stop in at the lou which was very clean, i was presented with a blanket. Saturday night was karaoke and i hit the stage a few times. Amazing acoustics.
The first thing that calls your attention is the location, a beautiful old church decorated with taste making you feel cozy and warm. We stopped there in our way home and we enjoyed it quite a bit. Their beer selection is good with some local breweries and their food is tasty and well executed. Burgers seems to be their thing and they are tasty, portions are just ok and some other dishes might be a bit a hit and miss. Overall good experience for a burger and a beer.
