Had the Earls' Court, which is Earls' Tea for two people. Lots of variety on each tier. My friend and I really enjoyed the bread pudding and I personally enjoyed the egg salad sandwich. Service was excellent. I've been to many tea rooms and this was by far the best service. Our server was extremely attentive and kind. They also accommodated us with a last minute reservation, which was great. Bathroom was extremely clean--spotless even. Plenty of parking. Seems like a good place to host events, based on the set up and location. Would come again!
The Duchess Tearoom was really great! The dacor is adorable, the restaurant features Antiques and even a collection of hats that belongs to one of the owners! It definitely feels uniquely British, and is a great addition to Stoney Creek. The owners are both super lovely and the service was great, I do recommend making a reservation because it seems like they're pretty busy and just managed to squeeze Us in as walk-ins. The scone was one of the best I've ever had!
I was their first customer on reopening day June 16, 22, formerly known as the Duchess Tea Room. They made such a gorgeous renovation. Attentive owner and staff, pretty environment, surprised with food extras, and good prices. And there's a room with odds and ends to purchase. $10 minimum.
Recently dined here with Family on January 20th celebrating my Sister and her Husbands 50th Wedding Anniversary. The owner Jamie treated us great. Everything was great in this quiet, cozy quaint tea room. I recommend you visit. Thanks again to Jamie for the excellent service!
We held a 50th Anniversary venue hosted by the Earls of Grey. Wonderful cozy atmosphere, excellent home made dishes. Every attention to detail was made. Had such a wonderful time!
The atmosphere and food is excellent. However when you're a group of TWO and you wait 30 mins for a pot of tea and well over 60 mins for your sandwiches/baked goods on a tray, it ruins the experience. No reason why this type of food would take that long. Only one other table being served while we were there. Unless it becomes a smoother experience, I wouldn't go back, especially not with more than 2 people. **Update to review - to boil water and put a teabag in does not take 30 mins. Making a handful of fresh sandwiches does not take 60+ mins. And those goods were not baked in the time we sat there - please don't try to deceive customers and take responsibility for having them wait over an hour to receive food. I could understand if it was something like paella that takes time to cook. Or even if you had a busy restaurant with lots of people waiting. There were only four of us total in the restaurant.
We loved the high tea and the snacks here. The carrot cake was my most fav item. And the host was wonderful
Love love love this place. The 3 ladies who own /run the place are amazing so friendly and great customer service. The decor and and setting is so quaint and cozy it creates a great ambiance for afternoon tea.
Food was excellent, great assortment of dishes. Bread pudding was my favourite. Service was polite and well mannered. Really felt attended to. Parking: Plenty of parking, in a plaza. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs or steps.
My best friend and I went a couple of weeks back to celebrate my birthday in a low key way, and the I was blown away by the amazing service. They were very careful about respecting my rare food allergy cinnamon which can be an issue in a place that serves tea and baked treats. The tea was amazing, and those sandwiches were great. I was especially fond of the corned beef. But all of them were good. I will definitely be going back again, even though it's a little out of my way. But I am so glad that Karyn and I took the chance to try this place out. Thank for the amazing experience ladies, and for the surprise birthday empire biscuit.
