Simply an amazing experience overall. Visiting for the weekend and was local. Started with the pretzel for an appetizer, the bites were soft and the cheese was good with a little heat. Not the best I've ever had but we're still good! My husband had a few beer flights as they have a wide range of beers on tap to select. A large variety and would please any beer drinker. I tried a few of the specialty cocktails which all used local alcohols, delicious. For dinner we had the strawberry chicken salad & mushroom and spinach flatbread. WOW, everything was absolutely delicious. The flatbread had mushrooms, spinach, goat cheese and honey...hands down one of the best flatbreads I've had. The food & drinks were on point and so was the atmosphere. We got to be there for the most unique entertainment, beer choir.. German music that you get to sing along with.
I've been looking forward to going to The Drift, finally went tonight and was not disappointed! Delicious and creative drinks and foods, there's definitely something for everyone with lots to choose from. The spinach artichoke dip was amazing and the drinks hit the spot. Will be returning soon!
Traveling through to see the covered bridges. Your corned beef dinner was DELICIOUS! Very nice and welcoming staff!
Such a cute place in Winterset. We had the small charcuterie board and pretzel bits. I also had the pollinator cocktail. The place is rustic, with great drink options and beer and amazing food.
They were busy for lunch which means the wait was perfectly understandable. We had the Reuben & the Roast Beef panini with potato salad. They were DELICIOUS! Well worth the wait. Not a lot of items on their menu however they have perfected what they offer & made it exceptional.
Great service, great beer, and great food!
Loved our food. Staff are pleasant; our waitress was sweet.
Excellent, friendly service with a rustic atmosphere in small town Iowa. Try a flight to sample different beers. Cocktail lovers, ask about "The Carver" Loving this new gathering place in my hometown!
Excellent food and drinks! The Flatbread is amazing. Will definitely be back again.
More of a trendy brewery, which can be hit or miss for family eating. The Mac and cheese with brisket was ok, personally I probably would have put more cheese and bbq sauce on it and not mixed the brisket in it, but put it on top under the bbq sauce. The cole slaw was too sweet for my tastes. The spinach artichoke dip was a little bland. The menu said soda $2.50, so I thought fountain drinks with ice, but got a chilled can. The grilled cheese and adult grilled cheese sandwiches my wife and our daughter got were great. Our daughter said that the grilled chicken wrap was "too fancy". The cottage cheese was great. For the portion sizes and our enjoyment factor I would have been much happier paying half the price. I would recommend for groups of friends and for people on dates that would enjoy the wine and beer.
