Recently spent a few nights at the Drake for a change from typical chain hotels we stay at for work and it was such a lovely experience. Very cool/fun vibe to make our stay a little bit more exciting. The staff were thoughtful and extremely accommodating, allowing us an early check in and to swap our room to a quieter location. Service at the restaurant was quick and thorough, and we loved that we could have a delicious drink in the hotel lobby bar rather than in the louder restaurant / club at the end of the night. Every type of restaurant you can think of within a walkable distance. We’ll definitely stay here again.

We had a disappointing stay at The Drake in Toronto. We were travelling with a baby and stroller and were placed in a tower without an elevator. At check-in, we were left standing without acknowledgment, and I found the woman checking us in rude and unwelcoming.nnBefore our stay, we were told the hotel would supply a crib. When we arrived, we were told their only crib was already in use. This was frustrating, especially since we had relied on that assurance.nnI also left an item behind, which was my fault. However, I emailed promptly and explained exactly where I had left it: on the robe hooks by the door. The hotel has been unwilling to help me come to a resolution and been dismissive of the entire experience.nnTaken together, the check-in experience, the stairs with a stroller and the unavailable crib made this a difficult stay. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
