We went to the Drake Drag brunch for my wife’s 40th birthday party. We had a large group of 17 people, and everyone had a blast. Ryder, the Drake’s F&B manager, was very helpful setting up the reservation and communicating with me. We got a great table on the raised part of the restaurant which was great for seeing the queens perform. It took a little bit to get served as they were a bit understaffed. However, once our amazing server, Liv, was able to get to us, we had outstanding service and our drinks were never empty. The food was delicious and the drinks were awesome as well. The drag show was phenomenal and our guests had such a good time. We will be back and I highly recommend the Drake for drag brunch!
Great service. Came here for my birthday dinner and was not disappointed. We have the prix fixe meal, with sushi to start and cocktails. The steak was the perfect size. Loved the live piano music that wasn’t too too loud, easy conversation level. Drinks were delicious and we got brought champagne for my birthday! And Photo Booth obviously is a fun addition. Walking distance to Queen st and ossington bars.
Disappointing. Went for a cocktail after dinner. Service was terrible from the start—the person at the front desk was rude and pretentious. It felt like they were doing us a favour just by acknowledging our presence. Throughout the night, we felt ignored and unwelcome. The bathrooms were clearly not well-maintained. Overall, it was an uncomfortable experience and I won’t be returning. I used to really enjoy coming here, I haven't been in years because I don't live in the province. I won't be returning.
Really awesome quirky hotel! First of all, the location is amazing. Many restaurants, cafes and bars around, and it's across from a streetcar stop. The hotel was clean and the staff were nice.nnWe were in a Crash Pad room and it was JUST big enough for a couple. Make sure you like each other though because the bathroom is open concept just a sliding door for the toilet. Next time we'll upgrade to a bigger room.
Can’t beat this location. Room was tiny but all that you need. I’d rather be out enjoying the city. We were early and they watched our bags while we searched for food. The wifi was fast, room was clean and washroom was stocked. The restaurant in the hotel is amazing, both breakfast and dinner options. The room was interesting, felt like a Korean hostel with everything packed neatly and nicely in a small space, definitely not wheelchair friendly. It was an excellent experience, thank you Drake Hotel.
