The Depot Cafe

Been going here for years. Actually, I worked here back in the mid ‘90’s and it hasn’t hardly changed. The food is still great and the service is very consistent. The wings are the best in town. The fish and chips are exactly as they have been for decades. I hope they keep going.

Meh on the fish. Cool place. Did not experience the 4 or 5 star food from other raters.

So good. I love their fish and chips. They also have a great carrot and shrimp salad called the Bonnie. Only local place I know of to get fried oysters and fries as well.

The Depot has a really nice atmosphere. There are antiques all over the place and they are playing oldies on the sound system. The food is really good and the service is fast. I really enjoyed it.

Tasty food, good, friendly service. A bit spendy but you won't be disappointed! Clam Chowder is delicious!

My family has been dining at The Depot close to four decades now and still love eating there. The Depot has the best fish and chips in the Northwest, fresh cut fries, crisp salad covered with baby shrimp...I'm getting hungry now...We don't live in the area anymore, but we'll drive down from Portland for a family get together.

The place to go when you're craving quality fish and chips but Newport is just too far...Oh and I really like that they support their local brewery "Deluxe". Terrific on tap beers with the eats.

So good. Fresh flaky fish and generous shrimp salad. Homemade thousand island is great.
