Pricey but to die for. Busy, in demand, this place is an excellent option for lunch, especially when you're looking for fresh baked pastries. Good coffee, too. But the rhubarb tart? Not German but fantastic! I also enjoyed the Florentines, and the Bavarian waffle, which I have never seen in Bavaria .
The danishes were light. The pretzel I got was salted, but it was too salty for me. I really liked the almond Kringle. I want to try their cherry custard next time.
These were baked so perfect and flaky. I’ve never had such good pastries and I don’t eat gluten. That good. You have to try the Bavarian waffle… that was the best part! The walnut bar tasted like pecan pie!
We went in to find something sweet and try something new and different. I got the Bavarian waffle and some shortbread cookie which I only got one bite because he finished it. He said it was really good lol. It was close to closing time so things were getting put away.
It’s cute and has a large selection of German pastries. The staff is friendly and will let you know what’s they are made of. Their coffee is super lacking and almost gross. The espresso was burnt and the flavor just not there. The pastries are almost the same. Little expensive for what you get.
Tried cream cheese danish. It was good. They did not have lots of options- may be because we went there during closing time so probably try this place during mornings
Cute decor and long queue. Tried the cream cheese danish which was dry and didn’t feel fresh.
We enjoyed a slice of Kringle & a Hazelnut Croissant. Both tasted very freshly made.
This place serves the worst soft pretzel anywhere....Not only in the US but in Belgium, UK, Germany etc. The dough was atrocious - super hard and way, way too salty. Reminded us of those pretzels that people use for decorating. They charged 85 cents for each of the sauce. We were foolish enough to get two... The cheese sauce was horrendous....Price point is $ 5.50 per pretzel!!!! Yes, it costs $ 5.50 per pretzel for inedible stuff. The young person at the cashier was totally un-interested.... Did not even ask if we want to have the pretzel warm up... Wonder how they survive?
