Wish we had known the following before we came and dropped $50+ on fried chicken. Important to note that the head chef left years ago. Their once-famous "Korean Fried Chicken" is no longer here. Instead, it seems the remaining chefs have tried to recreate the previous chef's supposed masterpiece (can't say, never tried it but reviews/videos from his time look amazing), falling way short in terms of quality and taste. Yet, they somehow justify raising the price up to $44 for two portions which consists of sandy breading that is fused to somewhat moist dark meat and dry pieces of white meat. For the same price (even less if you go during their happy hour), you're better off going to Bar Fancy just down the street and getting truly the best fried chicken in town.

This place was definitely a letdown. For the price point it should be some of the best fried chicken you can eat in the city but we got a lot of dry pieces and the flavor was not very memorable. We ordered the fried chicken for two and felt it was too much chicken; smaller and more moderately priced portions would be preferred so that we could have had room for a side.

Very flavourful. Medium sized portions. Jerk chicken was mildly spicy but very tender and well seasoned with a good balance of flavours. Pulled pork scallion crepe was very tasty. The sauce alone was packed with flavour. Courteous service, 1 washroom upstairs, lots of interior character, and a calm ambiance.

The place is cozy and clean. Our server was great and helpful. Fries we ordered however were dark and looked like being fried in an overused oil hence my 3 stars.

I would really like to give this place 5 stars, as the food was delicious but... we ordered a fried chicken dinner for two and I could hardly call it a dinner, as dinner to me consists of more than a course of meat. What came was some really great fried chicken, accompanied by four small cubes of corn bread and 5 slivers of pickled vegetables. We then ordered a plate of rapini with toasted walnuts, which was excellent. It just felt a bit cynical to be so stingy with the accompaniments.
