Food is delicious and drinks are good. Mario and Kevin try to serve you fast and make you feel welcome. Looks like the place is usual get together for locals and you can hear laughs and stories. No food on Mondays.
Great assortment of delicious food and drinks with courteous and friendly service in a awesome atmosphere, the place is full of nostalgia and memorabilia that will sure bring you back a few decades.
Although Google stated this diner-style restaurant was closed, we'd still give it a try after a tip from the Spring Lake motelowner next door and did not regret it at all! Be sure to go inside and ask for owner/bartender/waiter/server Mario . The menu and food was fresh and great. If it is busy inside it can take a while before you get served with all it's only Mario and the cook but definitely worth it!
My large 65lbs dog was allowed to sit with us on the outside patio. The food and beverages was served fast. I got the cheese burger which was really good. The inside of the restaurant was rather messy at the time, but I never judge a restaurant based on it’s look. I recommend.
1 hour and 30 min to get food from order, food came cold, was sitting in the back for a while. Only 10 people inside so it’s not like they were busy. And the over all taste was 3/10. Wouldn’t go back if it was free. Try the boiler room around the corner, way better
Great food and atmosphere! Cool trinkets and artifacts and chill service. Nice find while on holidays!Food: 5/5
Every dish we've tried here is amazing! My husband's favourite is the John Candy burger. I loved the chicken Caesar wrap. I can't wait to visit in warmer weather and use the patio. Mario is super accommodating and friendly.
Ambience is great. Lots to look at. I loved the books and games available at the table. Menu is typical diner food at normal prices. Service was a little slow, but still very friendly. Food was good and flavorful. The veggie mix with my steak was a bit untraditional but yummy all the same.
Staff is very nice and they do have safety measures in place which is nice and fairly reassuring. The service was very slow but fairly understandable due to covid. I ordered ribs photo attached and asked for extra sauce but the only good thing was that the meat was fall off the bone but it had no sauce at all. My mom ordered 12oz steak and it was dry and had no flavour at all. Not impressed and quite disappointed to be honest.
If you are visiting Algonquin or muskoka and want a QUICK detour, this is the place. Not only presentation, but food quality is AWESOME. Highly recommend this place
