This place is a gem! The owner is so sweet and kind. She shared her family stories and explained the history behind her restaurant. Everything we ordered was made fresh and tasted absolutely amazing. This is truly a delightful place that even serves their sandwiches on their fresh made bread. You better get your breads, cookies and pastries fast because they sell out. We will definitely visit again when we visit the area in the summer. Thank you again for the cookies for the grand babies. They ate them up and had cute chocolate smiles.
Cute little place, great staff and atmosphere There’s a lot to look at inside. Including “Anna” the famous cape Vincent boat. She is all over the walls in many different art forms. It’s a cozy little restaurant. There’s a bar and a little gift shop when you first walk in. They also sell fresh bakery items. Breads, and baked goods The food is a little pricey but typical in a tourist town and a semi formal restaurant. The food was pretty good, lots of things on the menu to decide from. Overall great place to check out when you are in town.
It took a few minutes for them to initially take our order after we were seated however the staff was very pleasant and the atmosphere was super ritzy. The food was absolutely perfectly deliciously amazing and I can't wait to visit again next time we are up North! I'm still drooling at the thought of the Jumbo Bacon Cheddar Biscuit I ordered! Oh and the coffee, although $3 for one cup, was amazing!!!
Two of us stopped in for lunch on a busy summer afternoon. The restaurant's atmosphere was homey and inviting, but it was a little claustrophobic with so many tables in a tight space. Our waitress was friendly enough, but I asked for an ice water with lemon and she brought me one without. I figured they were just out of lemons, but then I saw her deliver four ice waters with lemon slices to a nearby table. For starters, I had the French onion soup, which was very flavorful, with abundant onions and yummy melty Swiss cheese. My friend had the house chowder, which he said was excellent. For my entree, I had the fried haddock tacos, which were fat with savory fish and fresh lettuce and tomatoes. It came with a side of cilantro rice, which was tasty, but I couldn't finish it because the food was so filling. My friend had the Clapsaddle, a specialty prime rib sandwich that was messy to eat, but succulent. It came with house made potato chips. The waitresses were visibly frazzled; I think there were only two of them for a packed house. My friend was unable to get anyone's attention to get another glass of iced tea. Also, I overheard a server apologizing to customers at two different tables for getting their orders wrong. We ordered cups of soup, but realized later that we'd been charged for bowls... $7 a piece rather than $4. There were some mighty tempting looking pastries on the counter when we paid our bill, including gluten free brownies. There is even a cute little gift shop by the front door. My recommendation is to give this restaurant a try, but go when it's not so busy.
One our favorites. The staff is wonderful, friendly and helpful. I have food issues and the staff is always willing to ask the kitchen what I can have. The pot roast tonight was so tender it melted in my mouth!!! So, so good. Parking: Unpaved gravel lot Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp in, they will remove chairs as needed. Dietary restrictions: The staff is good about going to the kitchen and asking if modifications are possible. I am GF and have always found items I can have.
My very favorite restaurant. Food is exceptional. Service is great. Most definitely family oriented.Food: 5/5
This is a very nice place, very homey. For dinner my wife had the NY strip steak, I had the fried haddock. Everything was great. The home made bread is amazing! We had breakfast today, French toast, cheese omelette and home made corned beef hash. Once again everything was super. The decor is very quaint. Stop in, you won't be disappointed.
Beautiful place to have a home cooked meal & great atmosphere. Excellent service & superb quality. Bon Appetite Everyone & cheers to all Food: 5/5
Service and food is always great. Daily specials and dessert as well as a small bakery counter with breads and sweet. There is also a bar and small gift shop. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Vegetarian options: There are salads
Really nice people. One of the girls misread the menu and had it corrected on my behalf. That was so appreciated. This weekend was super busy since it was French fest . So on top of that really appt them going above for the eggs Benedict which was amazing. All the rest of the people I was with ordered the French toast which was amazing fresh fruit. Also had some live music which was really great. I will definitely return next year when we come for the French fest.
