The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint in Fairmont hot springs British Columbia, is set on the Beautiful west side of the Rocky Mountains. It stands on the hill side at the entrance into Fairmont hot springs Resort. The Down-hill Ski runs of the resort come down the mountain behind the Church, and the Hot Springs Pools are just south, south east of the Church (pools cannot be seen from Church). The Church was built here, and not in the more populated near by town of Invermere, because the Founder and first owner of Fairmont Hot Springs Resort donated the land to the Church at the request of his Wife (a faithfull member of the Church the remainder of her days). The Church is very thankfull for the land given, and so are the many visitors that vacation in the area. The Congergation has about 12 active members that live in the area year round. However the congergation can be between 12 (the locals) and over 300 people on long weekends! (due to many visitors).
