New to town and had breakfast this morning at The Cedar Kitchen. The staff was warm and attentive, the service was quick and free coffee refills a-plenty. Great prices and hours for a local diner, wish they had a few more health- conscious meals available. Definitely the place to go to in town for an affordable, quick and easy meal outside the home and will definitely be back soon!
I think this is one of the few restaurants in the area with decent rating. We had lunch and food was great, felt fresh. The menu was under the glass top of the table and 2 pages backward to each other diagonally, made it difficult to read. I didn't realize it was page 1 and 2 until after I placed the order, thought they were 2 copies same. Lol And 45min limit which they were very strict and also price seemed a bit much, though it's pandemic season so ok.
Food is good but service needs some serious work. I have eaten there three times now. Once was take out and two times dining in. Both times i went just over an hour until they were supposed to close and felt rushed out. For example, on Fridays they’re supposed to be open until 8. We got there before 7 and by 7:30 we were the only people in the restaurant. ALL staff proceeded to grab their belongings and sit at a table and watch my family and I eat. With still a HALF HOUR till close they turned off most of the lights in restaurant. I have NEVER been so uncomfortable at a restaurant in my life. Sadly this happened both times we were dining in the restaurant. Not sure I will be returning. Very unprofessional and rude.
The food is always so good and I’ve never had a bad experience here. The chicken caesar wrap will always be my go to it’s so delicious!
Friendly service. Burgers are really good. They don't grind their own meat but they smash their own patties. Great price too..would rate $$/$$$$$. Forgot to take pic of burger as it looked so good and tasted better...devoured it way too quickly. Here's a pic of chicken finger kids combo.
My family and I had breakfast at the Cedar Kitchen this morning, and were happy that they could accommodate our large group of 9 adults and 2 babies. We did call ahead before going, which I would recommend to groups larger than 6. Positives: The staff are efficient, the prices are fair, and portions are perfect. Some of my family members really enjoyed the Eggs Benedict, Pig's in a Blanket, and sausages. Negative: I ordered strawberry-filled crepes. I have had crepes many times before, at other restaurants, so I knew what I was ordering. What I got were rubbery, thin omelettes with strawberries wrapped inside of them burrito-style and whipped cream on top. The texture was terrible, and they tasted nothing like crepes- just egg. I was planning to send them back and order pancakes instead, but my brother offered to switch plates with me. He didn't eat much of them. When I went to pay, I told the owner about my crepes, and her response was, "oh, you don't like them eggy"? I replied, "No, I don't, because that's not how crepes should be. I've had them before". I feel like she was half listening to me, and she made no offer to discount my bill. I was disappointed in her lack of interest in my experience.
Decent place, cozy little restaurant. Service was good, friendly. Food was just okay. Breakfast sausages are huge. I'd probably rate more of a 3.5 star if I could but I'll round up.
