This is an old place. Started in 1929. Bathhouse needs some love. Lake is enjoyable, prepare to hike to it. Kittens are the redeeming factor and nice host. Quiet place to stay for a night or two.

Since there's not an honest review of this place, I will gladly do the honors. This place is a complete dump! The weeds are overgrown through the whole park, the playground looks like an abandoned scene from a horror movie, and there are cats EVERYWHERE! Normally I don't mind a cat here or there, but when the place smells like cat piss, I draw the line. And I strongly discourage people from renting the cabins. The doors are left open so the cats can stay in there....I'm sorry but that's disgusting!! (Pictures attached) Also, in the winter time the water pipes freeze up and if you call the owner, who skips town all the time, will tell you "oh well". They have had sewer problems for years and it's rumored that it dumps into the lake. They also got raided a couple of years ago for meth, so there's that. But the one that puts the cherry on top is the story I heard straight from the mouth of another Campground owner. I guess one of the people staying at East Lake left early and didn't pay part of their electric bill. The owner, Scott, heard that this person was staying at another campground. He showed up late at night at the Campground office demanding to know where that person was staying! My jaw dropped! What exactly was he going to do had they told him where they were? Hmmm not someone I would want to rent from. We stayed there less than a month, that was all I could take.
