We went there for Monday buffet dinner. Hot food selection is limited and there was no roast beef but pork loin. Dessert selection was better than expected with well presented cheesecakes/cream cakes. Given that I got a 2 for 1 coupon from the Encore Rewards email, it was alright. Even without the coupon, if you like unlimited potstckers/noodles/dessert, $27.99 weekday is still better than eating at a food court.
Not a very big buffet see the menu but the food is not bad. Came on the second day of grand opening, the lineup was so long, waited for about an hour to get in. $29.99/person for weekend dinner. The beef is really good! There are definitely areas for improvement but I will give them some time before coming back. Also, friendly service!
The first time I ate here was during the Thanksgiving themed lunch, and when I say I was disappointed, its an understatement. The turkey was bland, and extremely difficult to chew. There wasn't any labels on the trays either, so it was hard to know what you were getting. Overall, everything was quite bland. The desserts were really good though, except for the pumpkin pie, which had a soggy texture on the crust.
Decent but really wasn’t worth the travel, the food was minimal, the labels were not even correctly aligned so you don’t know which one’s to which dish especially at the dessert bar, overall the price was okay but really wouldn’t recommend coming here if you’re from Vancouver.
Went in today with poor expectations after all the reviews. Place was clean, staff was really friendly and the food wasn’t bad. Chicken and pork dishes were quite good. Smaller casino and smaller buffet with a lower price than the River Rock. Good for lunch but maybe not enough choices for dinner. Noticed they are now open for a breakfast buffet with a good price. Will be back to try that.
Very disappointing experience. I went out with family and at first glance everything looked tasty but that was a big mistake. It’s a good thing they make you tip before you are seated and I know why. Had I known what we were getting I wouldn’t have left a tip or eaten there. We were the first ones through the door and the food was already cool and overcooked. It was very disappointing to find the food was dried out and had that cold film like it sat in the pass through for to long. Getting past the temp of the food the quality was not good and very tasteless lacking flavour and devoid of spice. The seafood chowder was runny and didn’t have much in it other than cheap pieces of seafood and fatty bacon. Unlike most buffets we had to clear our own plates and leave them on a central spot for someone to come and collect. The best part was the steamed veggies and the soft drinks which were okay with over 30 flavours. To summarize everything: - The food was bad quality and because it sits there it gets cold and has a film the food warmers do next to nothing. - Not a lot of selection. There was only one type of pasta. I also wish there was more variants of beef and chicken besides roast beef & one type of chicken. - I feel it was over priced for the quality. If you are going with low expectations you may enjoy the experience but not likely.
Meh, it was an experience. Went on a Tuesday night. Fridays and Saturdays are probably better. Not many options. Soft serve tasted interesting.Food: 3/5
Well, it is worse than the buffet at River Rock, but for less money although $29.99 is not cheap. I guess you get what you pay for. Casino buffets in the Vancouver area are not worth visiting. The food at this buffet was not good. The turkey and ham pieces were very dry. The coleslaw was tasteless and the mashed potatoes were totally without texture. The vegetables tasted as if they were frozen. The Prime Rib was ok, but very fatty. The baked squash, however, was pretty good. Save your money and go to the Match Eatery and Public House beside the buffet. Parking: Lots of free parking but need more handicap spaces.
First time here...all the staff here is super friendly, specially the staff at the buffet restaurant $26.99 dinner buffet, not bad, love their chicken and onion rings, the mocha is good too
Worst than food court food! Thursday is Asian night…the buffet table is 30 ft long, half are salads. Entrees are plain fried rice, plain Shanghai thick noodles, fried dumplings, spring rolls, tasteless spicy tofu, dry fried ribs, rotisserie chicken, dry roast pork. Desert are chocolate cake, mixed fresh fruits and weird soft serve ice cream vanilla tasted aweful but the chocolate was good. Lineup to get in was 20+ min. Lineup for food was 10+min. Staffs were friendly but definitely see them annoyed endlessly refilling food. Definitely will not go back!
