Elegant spot you must visit when you come to River Rock. Staffs here are super helpful and friendly. Sometimes customers can arrive for lunch and brunch depends on official website. I enjoy shrimps in the salad bar, creamy potato seafood soup, and the dessert cake the most every time I come visit. For the decorations, the building surrounding with extensive glass that people can gaze afar the port and mountain far away. The price is quite affordable compared to the food quality and quantity. Overall, here is an impressive place for me to come again and again.
Right now they are only open Thur - Sun, and brunch is only on the weekends. They are no where near as good as they were before the pandemic, and even back then it was OK at best. The selection of food has been drastically cut back and the quality of the food wasn't very good, especially for $45 per person. At least the service was good. The dirty plates were removed from the table quickly and they were there to top up our coffee whenever it ran low. Being over $100 including tip, that could have been a really nice meal at another restaurant.
The food at The Buffet at the River Rock Casino was so good! We had everything. From the roast beef, to the sides, it was fantastic. The desserts, particularly the matcha cake and cheesecake, were restaurant quality. They were delicious! The servers were so friendly and talkative. They make you feel like you’re part of the family! The ambiance was also beautiful. Huge window views from our table. We’ll definitely go back there!
River Rock Buffet still closed so sad , but we got lunch at Curve and that was an excellent choice, our server was great and the food unbelievable good I hardly recommend because the service is fast and comparable prices, my mom justed arrive from Austin Tx and and I wanted a really good place to eat and I found it. We order 2pc Fish and chips one with yam fries, 6 oz NY Steak, with a Chicken Breast on the side and Fish Tacos with Caesar salad
absolutely excellent in every way. I have no idea what the bad reviews are about. We had dinner and the food was super fresh and everything was delicious. We were there during the seafood special and all the seafood was fresh and the sushi was to die for. Dessert selection is also really good and the soft serve station is a must. Definitely recommend and it is worth the price as you would pay much more for a 3 course dinner with less selection anywhere in Vancouver.
Brunch is really good here. -1 star because I don’t agree with the price for the quality of food. It’s a nice view and place in general. Prime rib is pretty good, we go here at least once a month. A few times the roast beef wasn’t as tender as the other days. Overall recommended, especially brunch.
Glad to see the buffet opens up again. Price has gone up a lotlunch $40/ dinner $50; however, the quality of food doesn’t match the price . No crabs or sashimi….. only cheap stuff. Service was very good
I have to be honest. I've been going to the buffet here for 7+ years and it USED TO BE great. Now, not so much. Prices are over inflated as they are everywhere at $50 per person. The food quality has dropped drastically to the point where it's no better than any other buffet. Definitely not worth 50 a person.Food: 2/5
The food was good but the service was unfortunate. I was greeted with the utmost disrespect. I went there for a farewell dinner and was invited by family friends. We told the lady our reservation for the night and I think she had a hard time finding the name. We told her the second time and she yelled at us saying she understood the first time. She then told us that we have to find our friend's table on our own and wouldn’t help us. As I ate and finished, I was told by the waitress to scratch off the bits of rice in my utensils. I did what was asked and then I heard the waitress say I was inadequate and disrespectful. I would like to say that I am currently 15 and this was just upsetting. Overall, I really didn't enjoy my time very much.
My partner and I went here to celebrate our anniversary. We wanted to go to a good seafood buffet. We were initially going to go down to the states, but with the price point of this one being $50/head assumed it would likely be a higher quality with more options. We were sadly mistaken. For being in Richmond on the pier, I would have expected fresh food. I also would have expected crab legs as there were pictures of piles of them when looking at recent pictures. This "seafood" buffet had fishy-tasting salmon; Basa, which was fine, but it's literally the cheapest fish you can get; Shrimps which still had the vein; and muscles that hadn't been washed and were gritty with sand. They had an assortment of sushi rolls, which felt akin to packs you get from the deli section of save-on-foods - not high quality. Everything else felt and looked like it was pre-packaged from the frozen aisle at Costco. In fact I had eaten the same tortellini earlier that week at home from a Costco package. On top of all of this, the only drinks included are coffee, tea, pop, or water. As our waitress mentioned "juice used to be included, but the new manager got rid of that." I'm not usually one to complain, but this buffet felt like it was meant to be complimentary for spending money in the casino or hotel. The desserts were surprisingly good compared to everything else, but definitely not worth the ridiculous price tag. Management should be ashamed.
