The best restaurant in Walker and maybe in north central MN! The staff is so professional and friendly. Start with one of their martinis- you won’t be disappointed! I’ve enjoyed several different dishes- all delicious. Recently I had the Cassoulet which was a special- also delicious.
Excellent food, fair pricing, and good service. Our waitress was very enjoyable and friendly. Their specialty martinis are delicious also. I'd go here again. Dietary restrictions: Well marked Gluten free options.
We go there every year for our anniversary. Every meal is fantastic! Great drinks, wine and beer selection. I had the ahi tuna, my hubby loves the paella, friends of ours had grouper. Walleye, filet mignon and ribeye with gorganzola; everything is excellent! Definitely get the artichoke crab dip with pita wedges for an appetizer. We also shared the double chocolate cake. Heavenly!! Make a reservation, it fills up fast.
The dining room had an intimate feel, but was not cramped. The food was executed well. Six entrees were ordered and all tasted good. It merits the rating in my opinion and isn't over inflated despite a lack of alternatives dinner options in town.
I was pretty disappointed with Boulders, as I heard so much about it. Our waitress was the low point of the evening. She was just shy of rude. My food was bland, but the rest of the table liked theirs. I will definitely try them again. I don't want to sound snooty, but I don't think it's appropriate for the barman to wear shorts and no mask in a nice setting like this.
The food here is phenomenal! Totally worth the price-- the quality of it all is amazing. We got the Hot Crab and Artichoke Dip and the Sesame and Coriander Crusted Ahi Tuna for appetizers. The dip was one of the most amazing things I'd ever tasted. The tuna was very good quality and also tasted fantastic! For dinner we got the Crab Crusted Grouper, something I think was called Seafood Mornay, and the Skillet Paella. The grouper had a wonderful lemony sauce and melted in your mouth. The seafood mornay was something out of this world. The paella took my tastebuds to a whole new level. Everything was made perfectly! I hope to come back and taste their other dishes, I'm sure they're just as spectacular!
I had heard good things and was not disappointed. The atmosphere is classy but not overbearing, service was extraordinary and the food was fantastic. Highly recommend the braised ribs and honey sweet potatoes. My only nitpick is the pork in the hog heaven was a bit too dry for my taste but the glaze and sauce to dip more than made up for that. I will be making reservations again very soon.
We didn’t make reservations, so the 3 of us sat at the bar. We were able to order off the full menu: drinks/wine, shrimp cocktail, filet mignon, prawns, pork chop, & chocolate cake. ALL the food was DELISH, and more importantly, the bartender Ryan was amazing! Thank you!
Wonderful place in the. Northwoods of Minnesota.. fine dining with a remarkable martini bar with 18 selections of chilled martinis. Always excellent service... outside patio on a nice evening is preferred as there are flowers hanging from above and it’s quite cozy. Reservations are necessary as summer is a busy season... so worth it!
We come here every September for our anniversary, and have been quite satisfied every year. However, last year was the complete opposite. Once our waitress came to our table, and we made it clear that it was our anniversary; it just felt like she barely heard what we were saying, and felt like she always had somewhere else she wanted/needed to be. There was a large noisy birthday group next to our table, and upon seating were never given the bread and oil with parmesan that has always been there in the past. We were given a basket of dry not warmbread. The highlight of our night was the artichoke dip, that has always been the best we've ever had. Our dinners came and were just okay. As in the past we have always received a complimentary desert with happy anniversary on the plate, but this time nothing was offered. With great trepidation we will try this one more time; and I'm hoping the ambiance and service and attitudes of all we meet are more pleasant than the last time we were there. Very disappointed last year, and here's to hoping for the best!
