When I told a friend that the wife and I just went to the bone yard a few days ago his response was "your years late to the party, they used to be amazing 10-15 years ago but the quality has gone down hill". I'd say that certain things that the wife and I had were great and others could be improved. The shrimp that the wife got was amazing and honestly the best I've ever had. The large peice of bread was a plus with the meal and bbq sauce had an unique flavor that definitely put this place on the map. Honestly, for me the ribs could've had more meat on them. The ribs were also very rubber tough and the chicken was dry out. Overall, with the experience that I had my friend isn't too far off but I would say that this place was bad. I'd return for their shrimp and try something different on the menu then the ribs and chicken. Kid-friendliness: Had a warm welcoming atmosphere for families. Parking: Plenty of parking spaces.
I got the five piece chicken tenders. When I got home and opened the box I saw that the fries were stapled to the box and coleslaw was sitting on top of the lid of it own container. It looks like it was just thrown together sloppily. The tenders were OK. A little dry. Needed some sauce or salt for the fries. The sauce itself is sweet if you like that kind of sauce. I do not. The slaw appears to be old because it doesn’t taste fresh or look fresh. I could be wrong. In sampling the buttered bread, it tasted like beer. So if you want beer flavored bread you might experience that. I would eat some of this again but I wouldn’t go there intentionally.
This was our first time eating here and it most definitely will be our last…. On our arrival Hostess *didn’t get her name; Younger woman* she was awesome; very friendly & greeted us with a smile and asked did we prefer a table or booth? As we sat at the booth… our server named “Liz” was the total opposite… not so friend and very dry! I mentioned this was our 1st time here; she never suggested anything from the menu. I also mentioned that I was allergic to onions and asked if I can substitute “onion rings” for mozzarella cheese sticks ~> she said “no we don’t do that!” I stayed anyway… my children placed their orders as well and when our food arrived ~> the three of us weren’t pleased at all <~ my daughter actually got sick went to the bathroom and threw up all she had was ribs, fries and mac. My son ordered fish he complained of it being bland and dry. My plater wasn’t appealing… cheese sticks tasted like it was fried in old grease. The ribs weren’t meaty at all seemed like scraps for a pet, chicken tenders were extremely dry and the wings weren’t seasoned. The fries was undercooked and the bread was hard like it was left out I also placed an order to go for my husband he ate it as soon as we got home; he went to the bathroom 20-30 mins after. The place wasn’t as clean as I would have liked but I know everyone is short staffed everywhere! Also the salad I had ~> very plain w/ only one cucumber ~Bathroom~ the sink needs a new washer constant drip from faucet and the toilet seat wasn’t the correct size & the ceiling needs work badly I wish we would have received better customer service but honestly at this point I wish we would’ve never ate here. Very bad experience & I’m very big on reviews so I had to share!
Came out for a family dinner. We have been here plenty of times before, just now reviewing. The portions you get in this establishment are plentiful. You will never leave here hungry, or possibly empty-handed. Bringing home nearly half your meal is very likely. The service was ok, but today it was busier than a normal night. Any other time we have been, it was never quite as busy. We were offered free dessert which was a kind gesture for the 45 min food wait and 30 min order time wait after drinks. The broasted chicken and ribs are always a favorite here. The burger is something you'd see in a Flintstone movie extremely large but a must-try. I overall recommended stopping here, we just didn't have the best experience today but never had much of a problem before.
So I have not been here in a long time The food was good the potatoes aka crunchy krispy The bar bbq sauce could have been more tasty But I still enjoyed my meal Not crowded so perfect
First time here, food was really good. Ribs and chicken are awesome!!! Phenomenal place to go.Food: 5/5
Been going here for 30 years and the food is steadily declining. Tonight we ordered 2 short end dinners and mine was completely blackened. I never had crunchy ribs before and will never get them from here again. Tossed in the trash.
The BoneYard could approve on a few things like they should offer french fries on the menu instead of baked potato and cottage fries. Cottage fries sometimes be over cooked and the baked potato are old. Chicken is to dry but the ribs fish and ribs are awesome! The sauce for the ribs are awesome. Next time I barbecue I think I'm going to purchase a few bottle of their sauce. The ladies are absolutely a delight each time I come. I'll give customer service five
Service was friendly and courteous she checked back on us and of course brought extra napkins. The ribs are some of the best I've had ever hands down and I eat state to state. Also left my phone and they had it waiting for me when I pulled up to the door. Excellent food! Not to much to loom at know the inside felt kind of drab. Maybe some new pai t or something to brighten up the place over all 5 stars
Ribs were extremely tough, server did not introduce herself, and only came back when we had a different one go get her. Beer was slightly cold, but not ice cold. Best part of the meal, the BBQ chicken was good, and the cottage fries were amazing. Never again if I want ribs, I'll stick with chicken shackFood: 1/5
