Reviews
Best bookstore in Toronto: so many great books here! This is an academic bookstore with an excellent selection of titles, especially in the humanities and social sciences. Unfortunately not so good on the natural sciences, but definitely the place in town where to find books that are actually interesting to read! Check out their philosophy section.
Tiny and cozy. They give out free candy around Halloween. They have good books that my U of T courses require and friendly staff. It's a shame they're closing in August :
Was told to purchase books here for my Canadian History course. Was a bit annoyed with professor for making us go all the way downtown. However, I did enjoy going to Bob Millers Book Room. The owner is really nice and she also gives you candy after you purchase your books :
Excellent selection! I was struggling to find exactly what I needed but was helped by the sweetest associate who led me right there and helped me pick out the exact course pack I was looking for. For the 4 volume set I needed the price was also quite reasonable!
This hidden book store at Bloor and Avenue gets a lot of use from UofT students and profs, but it also has a great selection for everyone else. A lot of the books are academic or high brow, but I always find some great pics that aren't on best-books, or best-sellers lists.
I heard that the bookstore is going to be closed down by the end of August. I feel so sad. This bookstore used to be a place where I got all the book for my courses, and I used love to check if any new philosophy books over there when I was free.
Lots of strange and interesting books, including a pretty decent philosophy offering.
Not many books, but hopefully that will change in the new place
Worth checking out, with a distinctive and high-quality selection.
A woman runs the place who's NOT friendly at all !
