Hugh did a quality job fixing the cracked dropout on my eighteen year-old steel bike frame. The crack occurred on the drive side, which is typical for well ridden bikes. I loved the bike and didn't want to let it go. I called bike shops and welders in Guelph looking for one to fix it, with no luck. One shop recommended I  connect with Hugh. Glad they did. The timing and price was good. So far the fix has lasted for multiple rides and is probably stronger than the original structure. Highly recommend this unique service.

On a search for my ideal bike, this shop was the first of several that I planned to visit before making my final selection. I ended up buying exactly what I wanted, without going anywhere else. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, and their focus was on finding the right bike for me. They encouraged me to test-drive as many as I liked, and I did. This was certainly a positive experience, and I recommend The Bicycle Tailor highly.

Unless you enjoy working on your own bicycle or know someone who does, this is the place to go for repairs.  Hugh even has a line of handmade bikes. A truly tailored experience.
