What’s a great local place. First time coming here amazing interior. Great selection on tap. Good pricing. The acoustics of this place would be amazing. They lost lots of great bands here apparently.
Hit or miss place. First time we went service was good, beer was cold and the fries we ordered we really tasty. Second visit service was lacking and the nachos we ordered were Horrible! The chips were stale and cheese only partially melted. We stopped eating after 4 chips and 20 minutes later when the bartender finally came back to follow up we explained the situation and there was no offer to replace or fix the order. He did not even remove the nachos from the bill as he specifically mentioned multiple times that the best he could do was 50% off. Many better places in the area that offer better value for money.
Went for a Billy Joel tribute entertainer. The atmosphere is good, unfortunately the layout doesn’t permit much room downstairs to dance or socialize - very crowded tables. Despite the low priced menu, the food was served cold. Fish and chips/calamari cooked in old oil and dips tasted rancid. Our server tried but felt like they did not prepare well for a a large crowd. The mgr likes the microphone and to smash plates with guests on their birthday. Kind of an interesting choice to have flying debris in a busy bar ‍ Seems to have regular customers but as a first timer it was disappointing.
I booked the upstairs for my boyfriends surprise bday party and it was SO FUN!!! Leo was amazing and made the planning so easy, and his staff were so attentive and fun. They even let us come in a bit early to put up some decorations. It was such a fun setting for our group. The arcade games and pool table were a massive bonus! The food was so tasty especially the pork bites!!!. Highly recommend if you are looking for a cool place for a bday celebration, office party, retirement party etc!
I went for a Sunday jam and it was so much fun! Fantastic musicians and the acoustics in this place are amazing. I looked at the menu but there isn't really anything for vegans, however speaking with the owner he tells me that they will be changing up their menu in a couple of weeks and there will be an option or two. It's not much but it's a start!
I booked a table for 2 here. Was escorted to a table with 1 open seat. Waited over an hour for service. Spoke to a bartender in an attempt to get service she said they only serve tables. Found this strange as the sign above me said "self serve here" people were also being served standing up. Asked the waiter he said he would come back, other tables feeling sorry for us also asked the waiter as they had been seated after us. After an hour we realized we would not be served and took transit all the way back to Vancouver. Waist of time go anywhere else.
The Bennett Poco has live bands, incredible food, killer staff and customers. I have never walked in or out of that place without a good laugh or a beer. Huge selection of on tap beers and also, the artwork is so interesting to look at. Being an artistic person myself I really appreciate that atmosphere. I like the big screens and the pool table and also how they have multiple sporting events playing for each customer. Also, the owner has been so welcoming through the transition from the Burke Mountain Beerhouse. Can't say enough good things about this Neighborhood Bar in Port Coquitlam. Please try the Butter Chicken! It's homemade. I will miss coming here for sure. All the Best, Melina
We went on January 25th for a stand up comedy show "A Fringe-Tastic show". We had a good time, the show was excellent, friendly personnel, our waitress was very attentive with us. I shared with my husband a plate of poutine, we came more for the show and to meet our friends, my husband ordered beer, the price was fair. Leo, the owner seems to be a nice guy. We will come again with another occasion.
Food was great, as was the service. And the audience was outstanding! Great stage to play for sure! 5 stars from me, and the rest of Wicked World!Food: 5/5
Spacious and Clean atmosphere. Friendly server who was knowledgeable. Service was a little slow. The Fish and Chips was burnt and the dry ribs were too dry. The price for the fish and chips was good just wish it was made better. It was too busy to complain. We look forward to trying it again. Came back again and the spinach and artichoke dip was delicious and the drinks were amazing
