This cafe is owned & operated by a lovely, local family and the vibe was perfect. Came in because of the raven carving by local artist, Steve Stevenson & so we did!nGreat coffee & muffins tip: the day-old baked goods, warmed up, are just as good as fresh. I also tried the rhubarb bar but prefer a higher filling-to-oat layer ratio. Went back the next day to grab pastries and a sandwich for the ferry journey home. Great selection includes cookies, whole loaves of bread organic sourdough , cinnamon rolls, pastries, muffins, scones, pies, desserts, tarts, breakfast croissants...nSelf-serve water station.nWalking distance to the park & pier.nIndoor & outdoor seating.nLimited outlet access for charging devices.
Love stopping to grab coffees and a treats for the road if we have a morning sailing to catch. Amazing baked sweet and savoury options for all tastes and good selection of sandwiches and wraps for those looking for something more substantial.nnFYI, its popular among locals and visitors so if you are looking to grab a quick coffee only you will probably encounter a line. Just in case you are rushing for a sailing.
I came here because I was craving a vegan sweet and saw online that they had some options. When I arrived, they had a chocolate oat bar and a breakfast cookie, so I ended up trying the chocolate oat bar. Honestly, it was just okay. It did the job, but considering the strong reviews over the years, I was expecting something a little more memorable. I probably wouldn’t order it again.nnIt would be great to see more of a bakery-style vegan cookie or a sweeter vegan treat added to the menu. I was a little surprised that there weren’t more vegan options, especially on the Sunshine Coast, where I expected a bit more of that conscious/alternative vibe.nnThe latte was really good, though, and the staff were friendly. The atmosphere is casual and has that feeling of a longtime local bakery rather than somewhere you go specifically for the aesthetic. There’s parking in the back, which is convenient. I’d come back for a coffee, but probably not specifically for the vegan baking.
Food is amazing but you absolutely cannot eat here if you have Celiacs disease. Lots of options marked gluten free but they are in the same case and use the same utensils for everything. Even after explaining they still would not use clean utensils. It is a great place if you do not have dietary restrictions
This bakery in Sechelt feels like a warm hug—so homey and inviting. It’s always buzzing during peak hours which says a lot!, and sometimes there’s not even a seat left. But it’s worth the wait! The baked goods are super good—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. The staff are also incredibly friendly, making the whole experience even better. Definitely a must-visit spot if you’re in town!
