Finally a decent place to buy good quality cakes! So often the local grocery stores sell cakes with cheap ingredients. I grew up with home cooked baking and have been lucky enough to cook and eat with fresh ingredients. To me many store bought cakes have a chemical taste and I dread to think what goes into the frosting. If you want something close to home baked this is the place to go. Highly recommended.
A gem of a bakery in Cochrane. We love visiting this place. Beautiful and delicious creations, varried selection, custom work, and fair pricing. Very friendly service. Pro-tip: go near closing for "clear-out" prices.
Loved working with them for our wedding we ordered mini cupcakes in a bunch of flavors and our guest were raving about them. Our personal favorite is banana split and carrot carmel.
Best cakes ever. Got a birthday cake for my son. It was beautiful. Have got all their different cup cakes before and their macarons everything taste amazing here. So good you have to order ages in advance for a custom cake but well worth it.
Although closed right now, we are hoping this place opens again post-pandemic. It is a fun little spot and a gem for the neighborhood. The kids like to walk up the hill and spend their allowance here. The pastries and cookies are awesome, and we ordered a gingerbread birthday cake which was incredible.
Best. Cupcakes. Ever. The chocolate peanut butter had ganache frosting and layers of peanut butter underneath. The coconut one was stuffed with a vanilla custard/coconut filling. Moist and delicious and reasonably priced. Their cake pops are also well done. It’s fair to say anything at this bakery would taste delicious and their cake designs are amazing.
I love the carrot cupcake and this chocolate cheesecake it was awesome. But I find the vanilla and chocolate cupcakes just okay. Cookies are great! It is all up to you to eat each one and see if you like them.
It is so nice to have a bakeshoppe with quality deserts. Since the Cochrane location opened, my family has enjoyed treating ourselves to their cupcakes personal favorite. The staff are always helpful and happy o help you out with anything you need. Probably the best part of visiting here, is you are ALWAYS greeted with a smile!
What a gem here in Cochrane. Super happy we finally have an amazing bakery! I rave about this place to all my friends and family and always make sure I have some of their products in the house when they come over! Super friendly and great service as well. Everything is so delicious. Anything you get from here will leave you wanting more :
Contacted Avenue Cakery on Dec 3, 2019 to ask about having a GF cake made for a special 80th birthday my mom. I was told I had until Friday, Dec 6 to make the order and have the cake ready for pickup on Dec 13. I dropped into the bakery today Dec 5, to place the order and was told I was too late to make that order to have it ready for pickup on Dec 13. Very disappointing service. Thanks for nothing and ruining my plans to have a GF cake for a special occasion. I will never enter Avenue Bakery again.
