Today was my first time going, ive heard bad things from locals all the time.. so i decided to go with some friends. I ordered spaghetti & meatballs. I should have just gotten the spaghetti... did not eat a single one they felt hard and they were tiny. Too perfectly rounded. Had to have been frozen store bought ones.... my friends said their hamburgers weren't good either.
For was good. Very small. Quiet. Family restaurant. Service was just ok.
After a long day exploring the cabot trail decided to eat out instead of cooking. Had the special of fried scallops that were excellent. Others had the grilled haddock that was also excellent regarding taste and texture. Would definitely recommend this place
Great food and service. Since I am a vegetarian I can hardly find anything to eat and I was happy to see veggie spaghetti and veggie meatballs!! It was also delicious. My hubby had the ribs and he enjoyed those and then my veggie spaghetti as there was tons!
We had a lovely meal here. Grilled haddock was awesome, peas tasted like fresh. Huge helping and very accommodating of my gluten free restrictions. Would come again!
Went for dinner with my wife.we got seated quickly since we were the only one there and we know why now....the waitress and the owner acted like they were doing us a favor..drinks some of the worse....and it was a gin and tonic...really!!!my wife had the scallops and being all the same shape and size....says ..FROZEN!!! And i had a burger that I ask for midium rare,but told me he had to cook it 160 to 180.....and it was over cooked and tasted like it cooked it in a pan.....come you can do better than that.....a p&j sandwich would've been better....stay away from the brass doors....
Went here a few nights ago, had a terrible experience. There was a table of 6 and 1 other table of 1 in the resturant and as soon as we walked in the waitress said they are very busy even though the place was practically empty and said it would be 15 minutes wait which we said was fine. An HOUR passes and we get out very simple dishes spaghetti, just tomato sauce and the waitress was rude the entire time, didn’t refill our glasses with water or check on us once, just delivered the food and went to sit in the kitchen for the rest of the time. Very bad experience here, unfriendly staff, would not recommend.

The decor HAS to be updated.I could do an amazing reno in there I ordered scallops and fries. I expected real/fried scallops,not in batter that came from a factory.They were the pre-frozen battered scallops that are all the same size &shape. They taste was bland.would not order again.BUT..they waitress & cook were amazing,polite& attentive. Because of that I would go back but order something else.
I called the night b4, wasn't sure what I wanted, talked to the owner and I said I should go over, he said come on over... I was tired and didn't feel like driving so I made myself a sandwich instead. So, the next day I ordered and my sister in law went to pick it up and I got a call from him, asked who this was, told him and he said he will not fill my order because I didn't come last night. I told him that it's up to me to change my mind and that it was late & made a sandwich. Furthermore, I told him it's ok and that I won't be ordering from him anymore... he over talked me and hung up... now I'm not sure what his problem is as I had good convo's with him in the past but it's my right to change my mind that night because I didn't order. Refusing to fill an order the next day is what I call unprofessional & disrespectful to a customer. His prices are really high and treating customers like this will eventually result in his business not surviving like the ones who were there before him. The food is ok at best, but I think I'll be sticking with Pit Stop and or Vi's, the prices are a lot better and their food is, dare I say, better.... I'm not sure what his problem is but good luck with treating ppl this way, def not a good way to treat anyone! Letting fam & friends know about this incident and would strongly suggest avoiding a business like this. Thanks but no thanks!
