The Assembly Hall

About

The Assembly Hall is a vibrant City of Toronto community cultural centre. It primarily serves as a rental facility, providing space to many of Toronto's arts, heritage and community groups and is available for both public and private use.

Story

The Assembly Hall is located on the scenic Lakeshore Grounds in South Etobicoke. This beautifully restored century-old building has undergone a major renovation by the City of Toronto, which preserved its historic charm, blended with modern updates and amenities. The Assembly Hall reopened in June 2001 as a multi-purpose community cultural centre, offering a performance hall, community meeting rooms and gallery space.

Just a terrific local place. All manner of arts are on display here. Photography, painting, theater, music. It is a crown jewel of the neighborhood. Lots of parking behind the structure, but it is paid parking. Note: there is street parking directly outside the building, but be aware of the restrictions.

Community Hub Extraordinaire! Year Round this is the place for theatre, art, book club and more. You can rent out space for your special event or host an art activity. There are so many options and the space is light, open, interesting and most of all inviting. Check it out! You will be glad you did!

Creative Community Space - Come to the many free gallery shows; enjoy theatre in Etobicoke; engage in book club with top authors! The Assembly Hall is everything the Lakeshore needs to serve the arts outside the core of downtown Toronto! Beautiful historic and modern building too!
