That 50's Diner is under new management! The atmosphere has changed, that's for sure. It's not bad though, they have used lighter colors and it has made the place feel bigger. The service was great, but the food is just alright for what you pay. I had the meat-lover scramble. It has scrambled eggs, bacon, ham, and sausage on top of an English muffin, with a side of home fries. The bacon could have been cooked longer, and the English muffin toasted longer, but other than that..it was good.
I really loved this place prior to renovations. Now, the food and service has really took a turn for the worst. My eggs Benny were cooked too long, the yolk was not runny at all. There wasn’t enough hollandaise sauce. The peameal bacon was hard, and tough to cut through. My potatoes were raw and undercooked so I told the server and had to send them back. The cook came from the back and told me “it’s not his fault, it’s the potatoes fault” I just left it, it wasn’t worth the argument. Needless to say, I won’t return
Sad to see 50's Diner go but very happy about the restaurant that replaced it. Mr. Wing has amazing customer service even late at night. Food was delicious and filling. Price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get for your portion. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an simple high quality meal. Thanks again Mr. Wing
This restaurant has lots of great options at very affordable prices. Would highly recommend the butter chicken poutine!Recommended dishes
Good service, good food and great atmosphere! Love the 50's feel when I dine.Food: 5/5
I went in Mr. Wings & that 50's Diner not knowing what to expect. I was greeted immediately with a smile and excellent service. I ordered 2lbs of wings and nachos to go. I was seated and given a complimentary drink while I waited. The wings were of high quality and large in size. I have to say that from all the wings places I have visited, this place had the best tasting wings. I am really impressed and they now gained a loyal customer.
The food and service were adequate, we had to ask for a highchair for our baby, coffee was warm, not hot and the food just barley cooked. My pancakes were doughy. Potatoes were hard and beans were maybe microwaved. The eggs, overeasy were great and toast was delicious. I would have sent it back but the server never came back around until the cheq. Maybe it was an off day but the restaurant was dead.
Since they renovated it and changed up the decor, just not the same. I was there today Dec 14/22 . Awful service and the food was absolutely horrible. My 6 yr old granddaughter could have made me a better tuna melt, and the pouting was slice slop. So sad, because this was a decent place. I invited 3 people to lunch, and I was embarrassed.
The kitchen staff are cheap. I asked for 3 eggsscamble n it looked like 1 egg was used, pancakes homestyle fries tasted plain My girlfriend got the plain crepes with whipped cream and all they did was put whip cream on the ends with nothing in the middle. The staff was very nice but slow
Totally different atmosphere than previous owner. Found it expensive. $1.50 for a small squirt of extra Hollandaise, $3 for a coffee and $4 for an OJ? Breakfast was lukewarm. My eggs over easy were closer to well done. Friendly server though.
